Better off going for a fiat punto = same chassis as the corsa or a fiat 500 = same chassis as the Adam another thing to bear in mind is that not all 1.0 cars are cheap to insure. Currently driving a Alfa-romeo mito qv and my insurance is cheaper than the 1.0 Kia picanto i owned
Be careful vauxhall most of the time loose value very quick.. are they worth buying new????
Amazing isn't it. Went to look at volvo and Toyota. Toyota well renown for grandad cars but amazed how much better they are now. Vauxhall look terrible
Thought most Vauxhall dealers wiped £4k off the price of a car just for walking through the door. Wonder if Carwow would be a better bet. Even better if you could combine the typical Vauxhall price cutting with this offer. If you're inclined to buy a Vauxhall, that is.
Similar and cheaper set on Eurocarparts £17.99 (cheaper with the code MIDMONTH), but OFS at the moment https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/summer-essentials/car-accessories/summer-essentials-deals/?553990550&0&cc5_1055
I didn't want you to get disappointed, so I voted cold for you
Any photos of the shovel they give? Direct Link https://www.vauxhall-accessories.com/winter-car-care-pack-emergency-breakdown-snow-rescue-kit
Or just get your main dealer to price match with independents or similar. If they wont budge try another dealer...
Very true, but it's far simpler if you have a warranty claim by not giving the main Stealers an excuse to decline the work and then you having to prove your supplied parts where of an equivalent quality.
Not even genuine parts but parts of at least OE quality.
My #1 comment was deleted by mods because I called main dealers robbing B*"*^*#. I didn't know comments could be deleted for telling the truth and I did not use the full profanity so hopefully the above is now acceptable :D It's about time more people started using the independent garages for non warranty repairs and all servicing, just had mine done after Frauds quoted me £240 for a first year service my local garage done it for £60 labour because I supplied the genuine oem oil & Filter (cost £35) total cost £95 vs £240 dealership price. It's also worth noting you DO NOT need to have your car serviced by a main stealer to maintain the vehicles warranty the local garage just have to use genuine manufacturers parts and provide you with an official VAT receipt.
Does anyone know what the process is for claiming your reward after your inspection is completed?
See post #15. Your link is for the terms of the 3 rewards you can choose from. Not the initial eligibility. Click the link the OP posted and scroll to the bottom. The "Vauxhall only" clause is there.
Nope, not when I click to read the full Ts&Cs... http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/owners_services/parts_servicing/check-and-treat/terms-and-conditions.html
Could have cooked pizza on the dashboard of my zafira when it went up in smoke - cut out the middleman
You don't need to take a Vauxhall to a garage to confirm it is crap.
No obvious definition of t&c for the roadside assistance. Other than some fulid top-ups, I'm not sure I'd want to pay £25 to receive some repair quotations.
Ah Vauxhall, cold for me, would rather walk
Was perfect when I got 2k for my X ref focus that on its last legs, and they also chucked in interest free payments which was ideal. A brand new corsa for £179 a month is cheaper than most lease deals and you get to keep the car.
Saw an article about this on Honest John website yesterday - Fiat will also give you £2500 off a Fiat 500x. Was considering this but felt the Vauxhalls were overpriced even with the scrappage saving.
Vauxhall should be paying customers to drive their horrendous vehicles.
No a Vauxhall Dealer ex demo and yes it costs more to insure with mods.
VXR power event ex-demo? Did the insurance cost much more with the upgrades?
I bought an ex demonstrator Corsa VXR almost three years ago and the depreciation has been terrible. It has now done 12,000 miles and initially seemed pretty slow. Bigger injectors and a stage 2 remap sorted this out. Unfortunately, this is not feasible with lease cars although the price on this deal is good IMHO when compared to the depreciation.
There not bad cars really, went on a vx power event at Oulton park a few years ago, quite nice to drive with plenty of grunt. and got a high speed lap (well fairly high :D ) with this chap https://www.facebook.com/jonathanadamracing/ was quite entertaining...
Perfect deal for you as it's only 3 years. TBH I think it's mostly tired due to the lack of use. only gets the long run now and again which helps to clean it out.
who the heck drives less than 5000 miles a year? (other than old people who just own a car to pop to the shops twice a week)
it is a vxr which is very well reviewed and liked. compared to other small hot hatches around the deal is not that good when polo gti or 208 gti can be had for 20ish/month less
A whole Corsa for over £200 pm... Wowww
Ah yes you are quite right. New VXR came out start of 2015.
Do a lot of work on cars and never heard of a wheel bearing joint in my life. Do you mean ball joint, cv joint or wheel bearing
The same car as Chevrolet Spark. Some say it's a redeveloped Daewoo/Chevrolet Matiz. Rubbish car to say it in simple words.
Looking at the picture, it resembles one of the non-descript Kias or Hyundais that are prevalent on our roads today
Most Vauxhalls sold in the UK are designed, developed and engineered by Opel in Germany. Of course Opel is owned by GM. They are made in various countries. However, in this case the Viva is developed by GM's Korean company.
Always thought GM Motors was an American company.
I can finally replace my Viva with an up to date version
That's hilarious! you're "boasting" about earning slightly above average wages.....
4.4k is not even that much, our friends earn double that so it's who you compare yourself too. Just because we worked hard to get where does not justify your ignorance of people actually earn more than minimum wage you know!!!! #jealousy comes to mind!!
haha yeah and his big house lol....probably sat in a bedsit in Blackpool eating chips with gravy though
4.4k did you actually believe him? nobody else did....
What a **** statement Yawn.
Not when I recently went to purchase a new Mokka Got 2k off for a car that was a non-runner £250 voucher Another £1000ish dealer discount And 5yrs 0% interest
Lol put a pic of your bentley.. You prob a bus wan*** lol
This sounds like the price they should be sold for anyway!
Yes I bet you are. You can park it next to my Bentley. C
is this wash from the fire brigade as all the recent vauxhall are going on fire haha
never able to claim the offer from the website. keeps crashing..
Thank you, wife had car washed a couple of weeks ago at one of these near her work, but we've been camping twice since then!!!
thanks! registered, couldn't print it from the site but saved as a pdf then printed it from Epson app will take it in tomorrow on the way home from work :) added
No good for my Vauxhall Adam with the sunroof
yep exactly what I said get the best internet price any decent dealer should get close to it, given the evidence - and close should be good enough given their better service :)
Avoid the car salesmen when buying new. I had a hard time getting my local dealer to even call me back to discuss a car. Ended up on carwow.co.uk and getting a car much cheaper from a dealer 30 miles away. I saved much more, and still picked the car up myself.
I found the best internet price for a new Golf GTI that I could find, then got confirmation in writing from the on-line trader of that price including options. Armed with that I walked into my local VW dealer and said if you match this price, I'll order right now. Faced with losing a sale, the salesman came back ten minutes later with a price that was very close to on-line, so I ordered there and then. He said that it was the quickest sale of a new car that he had ever done. Moral of this story is do your research before you hit the showroom. Salesman admitted that without my research, he never would have offered anywhere close to the price that I shall be paying. Same thing applies with the finance!
Not sure why you would want the 1.7 diesel, noisy as a fecking noisy thing, it has been replaced with a 1.6 'whisper' diesel. Just search any large dealer website. My local dealer has 6K off list on the 1.6 petrol SE, probably pre-registered 15 plate. http://www.petervardy.com/vauxhall/used-car-offers/mokka-exclusiv/ This group can always be beaten on price, well we have four Vauxhall vehicles, all from Evans Halshaw, all with massive discounts.
But the fact remains that it's still a Vauxhall. ;)
The arseh01es have charged me twice and are bordering on impossible to contact.
Good deal, did it a few years ago. Any idea if this is to be extended to Oulton Park?
Tickets bought - bargain! Thanks OP!
me and 2 others got tickets all for the same session, it was a pain but we got there in the end. can't wait
That's on the vans...ie, commercial vehicles.
I thought Vauxhall give a lifetime warranty, not only 4 years?
These kind of offers/discounts are available any time if you are prepared to ask for it and haggle a bit over your deal. Try asking for 3 years of servicing, or just a plain cash discount. But great for those who don't like to haggle. Heat.
I am unsure i am still waiting for my test drive. Give it a try for 3 days, what do you have to loose.
Nice offer and shows confidence in their products. Are Vauxhalls any good these days? I had an Astra about 20 years ago. It was a very capable little thing, even if a bit dull. Seems all company car drivers want BMW these days.
Eligibility: The Vauxhall 3 Day Test Drive Programme is open to all company car drivers (VAT-registered or VAT-exempt companies only) possessing a valid credit card1 and a current EU driving licence that has been valid for at least one year (endorsements will be considered on an individual basis). Drivers must be 25 years or over to be able to participate in the Programme. Drivers aged 21-25 will be required to obtain authority from their company Fleet Manager in order that the vehicles may be insured under that company's own insurance policy. Alternatively they may provide a copy of their own insurance cover.
My friend got his £2.42 MoT today (he's the one that told me about it), Bellinger Vauxhall in Grove (Oxfordshire).
So you went back to the same dealers who treated you so badly a second time? X)
and in the latest service they said I need wheel alignment and tracking urgently but when I had it check from another reputed dealer they said it's absolutely fine. So once again they proved that they are just another piece of garbage with a whole purpose of ripping their customers
Read the post first as I have written that they charged me for full service and haven't even done the partial service apart from leaving the service book empty. Will never buy a vauxhall again from these shady dealers
So you're unhappy because they forgot to fill in the service book and gave you £150 as an apology? Wow, they treated you so badly, i would sue for mental trauma at the very least. Can't fault my local dealers, they have done my last three MOT's (no problems found) and all the services on my 7 year old astra (again no problems). Just had a service and sheduled timing belt change all for £250 using service club discount which was a bargain.
I use a vauxhall main dealer to service my vectra. Their price is as cheap as my long term mechanic 20 years. they charge £72.00 inc vat an hour. With master fit card comes down to £54.00 an hour. Thet also are happy to fit parts i supply ie coil spring brake pads and glow plugs. They fitted 2 rear springs and 4 glow plugs on last service for 1.5 hours labour £81.00. a fair price i think. No all main dealers are a rip off.
it's worse than that if you use the online fixed service price, you can't use this voucher or the discount card as the online fixed price is too good, local stealers words not mine, so basically they want to add on extra to the service cost before discounting it. some dealers also claim if you get free parts they have to be fitted by them, lol. lots of info on various vauxhall forums. by all means use the card for a half price mot as this is the only thing I have ever been allowed to use it for. I would agree your title is misleading by the way.
That's just a transparent sales opportunity for the garage - you might get a cheap not and a voucher, but you'll pay for it three times over when they change your brake pads for £200.
It's not a free £25 service though is it. It's a £25 voucher to use against a service, so bit of a misleading title. Edit - just seen that this can be used for parts. In that case it's a great freebie!
Nothing as yet, but I expect it will be on.
Any News if this is happening this year? Would love to go :)
yep its an annual event
antyhing like this happen again?
Longshot here.. anyone travelling from Bristol to Thruxton on the 24th? I have a booking for the 11am session and I'm trying to figure out how to get there without a car.
