Have just picked myself up one of these which I thought was a steal. Last one on the shelf in Leicester (Melton Road store).

I hope you all know what it does and comes with extra attachments for pet hair and far reach places.

Remember and go online and register as it has 6 years warranty.I had a cylinder machine needing a small broken clip which they could not supply so sent me a complete new machine and I had to dispose of old one.

Terrible design of hair gets caught in the gap between the side & filter all the time in the end removed the filter from inside was the only way to use it for more than 10 mins at a time

what a load of rubbish.bought one direct from vax at a great price. used for 2 weeks on and off to give my dyson a week off. couldn't move the machine after the weeks trial and contacted vax.got a whole bottom end replaced and never used it again.stored in the loft in case the dyson needs a short rest again

If you have a thick pile carpet it's hard going as the suction is to much. We have one of these as the wife was find the Dyson just too heavy. These are 3.5 kilos less than our dyson and it was meant to be just kept upstairs. I use it all the time and it's one of the best we have had for overall usage. Remember it is not a Dyson. It is half the cost of the Dyson. It is more than half as good. I don't think anything will ever be as good as a Dyson but if Vax got their R & D department on the case they would be. What this hoover needs is what Dyson have as their machines have a clever head mechanism that adjusts and glides over the floor. The Vax wants to eat a thick pile carpet but on thinner piles and hard floors its perfect. One thing it does over our Dyson is it hoover up to the edges. Dyson DC07 I think ours is does not. Fastening the hose onto the vax is a bit fiddly compared to the Dyson but more than 2 years on we are more than happy with the vax and at this point with the Dyson we were already on our second hose as the quality of hoses supplied with Dyson is rubbish. They last two years and split and nowhere near as good as the DC01.

I can't comment on what it's like for dog hair but we have a long haired cat which leaves firballs all over the place and no issues with blocking.

It's £72.00 for FFFFFFFFF's sake. What decent hoover can you buy for that. I would pay that for a decent hoover for the car which the vax does well.

good helpful comment, nicely done :-)

For those that say this is hard to push on a deep pile carpet, we had the same. Emailed vax and they sent us an adaptor that fixed the issue. Much easier to push now. They didn't even charge us.

I love mine got it 3 weeks ago from tesco direct my carpets are all X
short pile but I have a big shaggy rug that I struggle with but can't complain when I only paid £17.95 my bargain this year x
