This or Dyson V6 ?
This
Quite a good vac. Constantly have to wash filters, power head flexible connection split after a year, mended with silicone tape.
I read a few reviews and people said they had to have it on boost mode all the time to get any decent suction and that then drains the battery to around 8 mins.
I am hoping this is better than my V6 which is rubbish and needs constant cleaning.

It will be!
However the Vax Blade 2 MAX (40v) is more powerful
However at £102.39 this is a steal!
This or Dyson v8
All bagless vacs need more upkeep than bagged (regular cleaning of filters, etc) so you have to bear that in mind.

Given that I got my sister a refurb Vax Blade 32V (V1) around three months ago, for £89.99 this is an amazing deal.
Had the original model approx 18 mths and really can't fault it TBH. Certainly way better VFM than Sir James' overpriced alternative...an absolute stealo at this price. Tempted to buy as a back up.....heat added.

Bought two Dyson V6s the other day and it's a pretty good machine. I feel that it needs to be run on max power most of the time, especially where carpets and pet hair are concerned. Overall pretty happy with it.
So I have a need for one more cordless stick cleaner - do I get another V6 of the Vax. The last (mini handheld) Vax was an abomination which puts me off the brand somewhat . . .
I need a new cordless but i will wait until the 40 volt one gets cheaper.Hot.
I have just noticed the guarantee is only for a year. The new 40V has a three year guarantee. Why all these box damaged products.Seems to me they are getting rid of thse less powerfull ones.
Perfect dysons I have the V10 and it's the best cordless I've had

If you spend £500 on a hoover, I would *expect* it to be a great machine!
What would be the difference between this vax and the one Lidl are selling at the weekend?

Less power and a shorter runtime according to the specs.

Get 3 years guarantee on this one.
The Vax 40V one is a Which best buy.Why pay Dyson prices, only snob value.
I won't touch Vax with a bargepole after my last vacuum experience with them. The 6 year warranty wasn't worth the paper it was written on, and the vacuum went in the bin after 8 months. Filters constantly clog so no suction, difficult to clean them, wheel cover over the filter warped with the heat from the vacuum, Vax not interested.

Bought a Henry Hoover for £85, never looked back. It's excellent. Plus no filter hassle. Beats any hoover I've ever had, including expensive Dysons.
So having just bought the Vax, I just received an email stating:

"Thank you for your order of a VBB2ASV1 which will be on its way to you shortly.
There is no need to register your machine on our website - we have registered it for you and updated our records.
Your unique registration code is xxxxxxx and will expire on 27/09/2022"

So 3 year warranty :-)

Says 1 year warranty on the eBay page but I received an email after purchase saying it was covered for 3 years.
Anyone know the different between this and the Vax Blade Ultra Cordless Vacuum Cleaner 32V which is £119.99 before the discount?

Got both! Lidl OK but nowhere near the suction of the vax. I'd call the lidl OK for hard floors, better than a carpet sweeper for carpets but not much more. At these prices I'd say they are proportionally priced. My lidl is a different colour and one of the filters cannot be washed, I use another vacuum to clean it!!
PS. Lidl 22v.

Yes, which one of these 2 is the better. The Blade 2 says the RRP is £10 more, but they look pretty identical, and the price of the Ultra is £6.40 less after discount, so almost the same.

Was just about to say...blasted 40V continues to evade me. Although can't afford one now.

I done way too much research on it (as per usual) but apparently it seems that the Ultra has the additional accessories whereas the Blade 2 has a light on the head. Blade 2 seems to have better ergonomics.
I would personally opt for Ultra event though the light would be quite useful.
Blade 2 seems like a rinse and repeat job (and cut 15% off BOM), those in similar industries know exactly the feeling and what type of product comes out.

BTW I returned and bought a shark which is miles better, than both Dyson v6 and this Vax.
