Thanks for sharing your first deal @Matt_lC
The free toolkit seems to make this a better offer than those being offered by other major retailers, not used one before but it has decent reviews on goodhousekeeping too.
Last 3 products I've bought from Vax have had electrical problems. Vax seem very much aware of the issues as they immediately offer a brand new replacement for £4.99 shipping fee. I bought a Dyson V6 Absolute from Co-op for £216 (thanks HUKD) and love it. Don't think Vax have the quality to charge £170.
Will review over the next few days only had limited experience with vax. my last vax upright started playing up after 4 years. Rang them as I got a 6 year guarantee and they sent me the latest model to match next day free which was worth 199 so really pleased.
I have the 24v model of the same, been reasonably impressed with it so far it does a good job. If I'd have paid £50 for the toolkit though I'd have felt ripped off, there's only a couple that are useful and even the crevice tool (? The pointy one) is too short and stubby to get down the sides of the seats in the car for example.

Run time will be shorter than stated as you will likely need the boost turned on (which is on by default even though battery times quoted with it off) and the brush bar also saps the power (and that needs to be turned on every time)

That said it's great for a quick clean and for doing the stairs and I don't regret buying.
Does anyone know the difference between the pro models and ultra models of the 32v
My experience with vax are they are very poor quality and there customer service and warranty is rubbish.
Note that curry's have the pro Model (not sure the difference) for this price but no tool kit. They bundle them both for 199
Argos have dropped their price overnight to 169.99 was 219.99 yesterday (no tool kit)

Argos have the pro model at this price...no toolkit..the pro has been this price for the last few weeks
Had two Vax blade 32v models, both dropped debris back down onto the floor when I turned it off. To be fair Vax did replace more or less straight away but the problem persisted. Bought a Dyson V6 and the quality and performance compared to the Vax was second to none. Do not rate Vax vacuums anymore had 4 fail on me in the past 7 years.

Thanks got them mixed up the pro model is cheaper. The normal 32v is still 219.99 at argos argos.co.uk/pro…561 whats the difference?
ordered one! good deal, i have been looking for a new vacuum for a while, thanks!
Go for a Shark instead you won’t be disappointed
I have had one of these for 4 months and they are brilliant. I had the 32V model. As long as you keep the filters clean all is good.Hot.

Apparently the colour and the tools it comes with. With the tool kit you essentially get an extra two attachments over the pro model. With the pro and ultra models etc...the only difference is the colour and tools. This deal is essentially better than the pro deal due to getting more for your money. I thought pro was better and ultra was even better but that's not the case

What was wrong with the old vax? And did they send a courier to retrieve it?

No that was my only experience with them. No they just wanted the Warrenty sticker on my old machine cutting up and emailing them the proof. I bought this to go along side my current vax (the air reach) which was my free replacement

I meant what was wrong with the actual machine itself

The suction was not 100% seemed to have loss some and the brush bar would slow down in places in my house it never would normally. They asked if the belt was damaged I said no and that was it.

i have one of these am very happy with it , i prefer it to the dyson one i use to have. i take the filters to work once a week yo blow them out with an air line it hasnt lost suction at all and it is used everyday holds the charge well too i have had it over a year now
Has anyone compared one of these to the Gtech Air Ram? I have a Gtech and it's great, but would like to have a handheld for the stairs and the Gtech handheld is shockingly bad

Vax are not as good as they used to be. Im on my 4th replacement machine in 2 years. Good customer service though.
Having purchased the 32v only last week. I have found it to be lacking it's rave. Had a Bosch athlet before and was very happy with that. It's a nice handheld hoover top heavy with the motor, it does clean well but doesn't like biscuits and cables are easily caught in the brush which can require unscrewing the side panel. Where as a Bosch just slides out. As regards vale for money it's cheaper than a dyson V8 and can be got on instalments via vax website. Am I happy with it? No not really it works but just has not got the edge over a Bosch. Best thing I can suggest is try before you buy as once used in home after purchase it has a no return policy unless faulty
Got the 32V model; brush burnt out after 4 months and hinge on the door catches now. Dust filters need to be cleaned very regularly, especially if you have pets.

Spare filters are super cheap for it, battery life is really good too. Suction is also pretty good for a handheld.

Not perfect but no handheld is and I’d still buy this over a Dyson as you could buy 2 for the same price

Hang on, you paid a fee to get a replacement when the item was faulty?
Is this any better than the Vax Air Cordless Lift? I bought the Air Cordless Lift because you can separate the cylinder for cleaning out the car but the suction is so poor that it will only lift very light debris. To be honest whoever signed the Vax Air lift off to be manufactured needs sacking for corporate sabotage as this product is rubbish.
When is factory sale coming up this year? ANY IDEA?
