How does this compare to Dyson V6?

I have both - bought a V6 and a Vax Blade 2 32V a couple of weeks ago - and I would say that there's not too much to choose between them.

The Dyson is a tad lighter
The Vax has a cool & useful light
The Dyson has a better wall mount / charger
The Dyson has slightly better attachments,
The Vax has a useful mount for an attachment.
The Vax has a 3 year warranty compared to the Dyson's 2
The Vax is slightly easier to empty

Overall IMO the V6 is slightly better BUT I paid ~ £150 for the Dyson and ~£100 for the Vax.
And the £150 offer is now over.

So you pays your money etc £94 for this Vax or ~£200 for a Dyson. I'd take the Vax :-)

How does this compare to Dyson V6?

it lasts longer i think v6 is around 20 mins this ones 45
Got one of these a few weeks back said damaged box but arrived a day earlier that advised with now damage what so ever. Really please with it, very versatile and efficient ,sucks up loads of dust. Consequently you need to empty frequently and give the filters a 'bash' to clean them.
Anyone know what the difference is between the ultra and the normal 32v? Also just wondering why the ultra costs more than the blade 2 on the vax website

Does it have motorised floor head as dyson v6 ?

Will be waiting for a better deal on the Vax 2 Max 40V, that seems a decent buy.

Will give it until Black Friday, if it doesn't drop below 199, will buy it anyway.
Would this be suitable for an elderly relative, looks quite heavy and bulky?

I bought the Blade 2 32V (VBB2ASV1) the other week.
Was boxed damaged but came affectively new and also got follow-up email from vax confirming 3 year warranty.
Got it from Vax eBay outlet with 20% off code so cost £103.
It took me a while to try and figure out which was better as they're all pretty close in price range. The Blade 2 range is newer than Ultra.
The both have a motorised head (brush bar) which you can turn on or off but it's not a fluffy one like Dyson.
Thanks, just bought one
eBay need to take better care of there boxes maybe some mediation or yoga for the workforce
ibaisaic did a review/full house clean with the Vax Blade 32V Ultra:

I got my sister's from directvacuums (ebay store) and it was £89.99. Bagless vacs need a bit more attention with the filters regularly cleaned/emptied, but she's very happy with her 32V Blade.

From what I can see the main downside to the cordless vax range is the lack of a removable battery. All shark cordless models come with removable batteries and I think the majority of Dyson one's the battery can be changed with removing some screws. So what do you do when the battery reaches the end of it's life? buy a brand new replaement unit?
I've got one of these and unless you use the Boost Mode the suction is poor with the added bonus of the charge running out quicker.
Finally, my pubes won't be floating around the home! Wife will be pleased. HOT

Is the vax wall mount a similar style to the Dyson? Does it charge while in the stand?

Had so many issues with my Dyson(s), I want a different brand
Vax on vax off
Its for carpets too or just cornflakes from tiled kitchen floor? Any experience someone? Thanks

Bought one of these last time on ebay from Vax.
Vacuum wouldn't charge.
Returns process not so clear...
Money ultimately refunded.
Ebay vax and vax are separate entities
Troublesome in my experience.
Buyer beware i guess.

Please please please don't buy one of these utter piles of rubbish.
I have posted before how bad these are.

look on ebay for spares and repairs and you will see all the parts that break.
PLus they block all the time for not recognisable reason.
Works on carpets too - but if its a lot of dirt, you would need the motorised brush head on which uses up the battery quicker - but as a quick once over wouldn't be an issue

No, when you put the Vax in the wall mount, you then have to plug in the charging cable. The cable is held in the wall mount, so you just have to plug it into the Vax.

It *says* that it comes with a 3-year warranty. But I received an email after purchase stating 3 years. Others have had a similar experience. But maybe we're in the minority.

Yes, they both have motorised heads
I had 4 of these in one year due to constant failures. The 4th suffered from a motor failure and I gave up. 2 charge circuit failures, 1 battery failure and then the main motor. All the replacements were refurb units and clearly not done well.
I’ll be buying a shark next time, worth the extra.
My elderly parents suddenly produced the 40v Vax, bought without my knowledge. Weight and convenience. It would have been cheaper to have had two proper vacuums, one upstairs and one downstairs, and more powerful. The Vax is still a bit heavy in the hand (for my mid 80s mum) you are holding the motor and a long pipe with a suction head, and it doesn't seem to have much power. That's the 40v model. It can pick up spilled stuff, but doesn't easily shift stuck fluff. A normal pull along Hoover you just move the pipe, or push along an upright so I'm not sure this offers much benefit. My mother in law has a Gtech Air Ram 2. That's better if not perfect but doesn't get the edges.

Same here, got delivered 30 min ago, box was not at all damaged, I tried it for 5 min with boost mode on and seems to work well, I wouldn’t recommend using it without boost mode. Battery is now charging.

Yeah, I think they *all* need to me run on max/turbo/boost/whatever pretty much all the time.
