Amazon RRP's are always over inflated. Price ok a little below average, but heat because it saves someone some money. Every little helps - oops sorry wrong store

LoL

Stairs will remain dirty. Unless you live in a bungalow. Can't do noks and crannys. In my opinion I think it's worth spending three times as much, and getting the later model, which I have. It's fantastic, and makes this arcayic item redundant.

Saying that,it is cheap.

Sorry about my poor spelling.(_;)

Am going to give it a go. About the same price as hiring a Rug Doctor plus cleaning solutions. Heat added, thanks OP.

Have hired one previously. It was OK, but am prepared to give this a try. Thanks for the feedback though.

Also available from Robert Dyas for £40 + £3.95P&P, so same price but 5% Quidco available. Orders over £50 get free delivery making it an even better deal and you can get a higher Quidco rate by spending more if you need anything else. Interesting though that Dyas say RRP is £59.99 as opposed to Amazon's £139.99!

Yeah, I noticed that. The going rate for these appears to be between £40-£60 quid looking around other retailers too.

Before you hire a Rug Doctor ask to have a look at one and lay it down and look at the brushes underneath. No way would I let those brushes anywhere near my carpets. Just imagine who rents them out, they aren't people with pristine carpets they are people with filthy stained carpets which judging by those brushes are completely covered in hair. I rented one once to clean the carpet in a flat I let out. Apart from being hugely noisy, making the carpet all wet it hardly made any difference. The chemicals they sell you with it are expensive too. I reckon if you suspended a Rug Doctor in the air and turned it on for 30 minutes the cleaning solution would still turn brown giving you the illusion it has removed all that dirt. Perhaps a one off experience but I won't be hiring one again.

£34.99 at aldi pontefract

you tube it, gets a good review

£54.99 now...

Suspect Foul play From Robert dyas.. I had a code and just as I put it through for payment and it returned as sold out.. Went on another computer and it was still available.... Bought from Amazon in the end..

why would someone with pristine carpets rent out a carpet cleaner? Of course they'll be people with filthy carpets :-/

Its not that price now. Gone up again.
