If it was available to collect in my area I'd have snapped this up! Decided to go for home delivery - all the way to the payment card then says oos! Raging lol

This is a fantastic deal for this hoover. I paid £90 for this in argos a few months ago and at that price I thought it was a bargain, but this price is unreal for a very powerful hoover. Heat added, great find!

Some peeps **** off the Vax brand but speak as you find ours had been an excellent purchase.
If you do not adjust the level correct you cannot get it to release on a vinyl / wood flooring.
Edited because I just discovered that gals spelt backwards appears to be a "naughty" word on here!.

Heated for the seriously impressive price, even more so at direct vacuums. Our Dyson is getting quite tired (over 6 years old) and doesn't pick up anywhere near as well as it did. Very tempted to get this, though as we have a dog we need something with a lot of suction for pet hair and I'm just not sure a £45 hoover can provide that?

Has anyone with pets got one of these?

£45 here … £45 here http://www.directvacuums.co.uk/vax-u86-fa-pe-flair-pet-upright-bagless-vacuum-cleaner-new.html

This one is a U86-FA-PE, original was U86-FN-PE - is it the same one? Answered my own question by looking at photos -not the same model at all if you can go by pics and specs

Other thing to note is the Direct Vacuums one only has a standard year warranty where was the Currys one says two years so for the sake of a fiver I'd probably get it from Currys for the extra year warranty....

I would have had they had any in stock near me or had it been available for home delivery - as neither appears to be possible, I'll just have to sulk! lol

I have a Labrador, and his hairs are everywhere, so I needed something decent myself. This hoover did exactly what I needed and picks them up with no issues at all. The way to get the best use out of this, is to press the button next to the power button which provides a deep clean. It works fine for me, but I have never had a dyson, so I wouldn't like to compare it against that.

We have a Dyson and it is quite heavy compared to the Vax.
It was also a lot more expensive as well.

I've got a vax like this, it's brilliant would never go back to a Dyson. I paid this price about three years ago on Amazon black Friday.

Same price on Currys eBay if that helps.. ebay.co.uk/itm…332

ordered thanks op

I managed to get one last night for delivery in the end, maybe they found some more stock. Cheers OP, Dyson just packed up for second time in a month with same fault - at £24 a time for the part, it's a no-brainer to get this lol
