John Lewis much better idea.

Great price,thanks..just ordered one. Their £3 delivery is very reasonable, and they always arrive quickly.

I think amazon had these for about £25 around Xmas time...

Totally disagree! We have a large kitchen and this takes half the time, half the effort and half the drying time of a normal mop and bucket plus using zoflora makes it smell fab. Great gadget. imho.

I'd never use a mop and bucket again! I have this steam mop and love it, my floors are squeaky clean within minutes and dry so fast. Miles more hygienic than an old style mop.

£30.50 at Tesco Direct delivered with £5 code if you make a new account.

yes..they did... and bought one

Bought one in the Amazon pre-christmas sale. Very easy to setup. Heats almost instantly. Easy to use and far better than a mop and bucket. Highly recommended.

The Amazon ones wasn't this model though but I picked one up as well when that one was £25 and it worked great for laminate but was utter rubbish for my stone kitchen tiles. its also now broken as something snapped in the head..sitting in my wheelie bin as I type!

Vax customer service are great.A small part of plastic broke on mine and they sent me a brand new one!

Thanks just ordered. Only one left in stock now

Nope. Mop and bucket better. At least you put anti bacterial detergent in the bucket by the time the steam gets to the floor is it really hot enough to kill any bacteria? Maybe but I doubt it! Like I said ive used this product and prefer
Mop and bucket but each to their own!

I love it, its easy to use, and I use for kitchen tiles. it takes only a min or so to start up the steam; Dries up quickly too. For me, better than mop & bucket.

Are these good for removing coffee stains for beige carpets? I suspect buying this would be a false economy as I'd end up having to buy something else anyway (I also had a Vax vacuum several years ago which was terrible), but I'd like to hear the feedback of those who already own it.

Does anyone know if these are OK to use on normal laminate flooring, ie the stuff you get from B&Q? Our whole downstairs is laminate and this might be a great valentines day present for the wife!

Do you buy lots of the cleaning pads then? Ive got 2 dogs and 3 kids and i could mop twice a day and it would still be filthy. Is it not just like pushing a dirty cloth round after a while?

You shouldn't really comment on something you've obviously never used.

I've ordered one to give it a try but a bit wary about how well this will work.

I mean with a mop you ring it out every so often but with this you just go over the whole area? How does that work surely it gets dirty after the first few sweeps and then you're just dragging dirt around?

i ended up sending one of these back as the pad just moved around. go for one with the pad Velcro fastened not with a pull tie like these.

I got the amazon one. I use it on tiles, laminate and real wood and its brilliant best £25 ive spent in a long time!! def better than a mop and bucket

Not to be confused with the better model
Vax S2S-1 Bare Floor Pro Upright Steam with detergent compartment @ £59.99 also sold by JL.

I'd love one of these for valentines day! But I bought one at Xmas. I'm really hoping for the karcher window washer for valentines! Then I can happily clean the windows while he plays Xbox, perfect valentines day :p. (I'm not joking either)

Appreciate it's of little use as potentially tesco store specific but I picked this up for £37.50 in Tesco Park Road Liverpool tonight as a heads up for anyone going to tesco at all. Was the last one there mind. Noticed on my phone was cheaper at John Lewis but saved delivery or a trip to town to collect.

After I got it I walked past the clearance isle and noticed someone had hold of a Hoover one reduced from £120 to £30, not sure of model but looked high spec from the box, must have been the last one but took the shine off my find! :-) Again of little use to those on here but there maybe the odd bargain out there
