Got one of these a little cheaper from Amazon last year and wouldn't really recommend it. Poor pickup and suction drops off massively over the course of those 24 minutes. Is cheap though, so there's that lol

Honest and concise review, thanks.
I wouldn’t recommend, had this model for 9 months and from day 1 the suction and pick up was awful.

I have a V6 since 2+ years now, it’s the best investment I made. Initially used it in one bed and now 2 bed apartment. Use is it for my car as well.

my Henry still sucks like a trooper. Just make sure you keep a clean pipe.
Not sure what these people are suggesting, it sucks or not really?

Don't know, never been in your skin. Sometimes it sucks to be yourself too.
How is this compared to Dyson V6?

Just buy a cheap corded one, these last for hours more than 24mins lol and you don’t need to charge just plug in and go !!!

At the end of the day, I'd probably never choose a cordless but it depends what you want. I've always found the suction of cordless to be weaker, but some people need to get in to tighter spaces or need the flexibility.

However, as with any Vax, there really is no point comparing it to a Dyson, you know exactly what you're getting... Yes the performance will be undoubtably be poorer but you pay about a quarter of the price so it really is dependent on what you want to shell out...

We had one of these and although convenient, was rubbish, seemed to really struggle to pick up bits, vacuumed the car with this and it just didnt seem to have enough in it to pick up the dirt, even when brushed off, same went for the sofa, vacuuming and it still wouldnt pick up loose dirt. Sent it back for a refund after a week.
We ended up with a Shark vacuum cleaner in the end, much better and much more poweful, wait until this becomes available on a deal, you will not regret it, buy the Vax and you'll be tearing your hair at with a wasted purchase.

It's not, I've got both. The Vax is rubbish compared to Dyson
I concur, all these stick vacs coming out now suitable for the car only when you take long appendage off the suction it lame

The pipe is clean. How do you stop the pipes from falling off?
Get the new Vax Max 40volt cordless vacuum cleaner.Very powerful and its the Which best buy.Its only £200 and as good if not better than anything Dyson has to offer. They are improving these stick vacs all the time.

I don't believe it can beat the Dyson. Owning a Dyson puts everything into prospective.
I have one, i wouldn’t recommend it at all. Heat added for price, I paid a lot more.
Would agree with other commentators about suction being poor. All the cordless vacuum cleaners I’ve had (3 of them) have had really poor suction compared to a traditional corded vacuum. Think I’ve finally learnt my lesson

The Dyson V11 is as powerful, or more powerful than any corded vacuum I’ve used. The battery life is also fantastic.
Obviously you pay a massive price for it. But hopefully in the next few years we’ll see more comparable performance at more affordable prices.
Personally I couldn’t go back to a corded vacuum after getting used to a cordless. It changes the way and the frequency you clean.

Control + F ... "Dyson" ... "12 results found"

Every. Time.

Every vacuum cleaner that isn't a Dyson will always get compared to a Dyson and I can understand why, having them myself, but I never see the point... It's like walking in to a Hyundai dealership and saying 'but Mercedes have this and Audi have that'...

What’s the problem with that? People who are looking for a cheaper vacuum are going to want to know how it compares to the leading models.

Thanks. I’m on the scout for a new hoover.

This isn't a Hoover. It's a Vax.

There’s always one. Yawn.

Do, please, feel free to continue to wallow in your own ignorance. Hoover is a registered trademark - the device being discussed here is a Vax, made by a totally different organisation.

This really isn't a good price, and cannot really recommend this item...

I have had this for two years and only paid £90 then. It is an old design and if you look at many brands of cordless vacuum cleaners they are identical design!

Despite the cyclonic bagless dust container, which is not meant to loose suction, this looses suction the moment it fills up. So constantly needs to be emptied and if the filters are not cleaned after every 4-5 uses, this has a major impact on suction too!

They proudly boast about the motorised brushes, but as the dust container fills up and looses suction, the brushes just throw it all back out if it cannot suck up the debris. The brushes also struggle of most carpets with any sort of pile.

Many of these are marketed as a replacement for your cabled vacuum cleaner, but I assure you this one will not replace it! It is fine for a quick spillage, very light mid week clean or cleaning the car, but does not clean deep down into the carpet.

Have done a few tests vacuuming with my corded vacuum cleaner, after immediately using the SlimVac and its amazing the deep down cleaning the cordless vacuum does not suck up.

Has anyone used the newer Vax Blade cordless cleaner, is this any better?
