can confirm this comes with a 6 year garentee....
it's written on the front of the vacuum cleaner, if you use the "zoom" you can see it.

thanks, but i don't think that one is the same....
in fact it's 3 models below...
that is the mach 4 as above....

the mach 5 is cdiscount.co.uk/Hom…tml
£99.99

and the one i was putting forward for people is the Mach 7.

anyone got one of these? any good?

i am also interested...any feedback please?

This is £125 at comet got one today not all that bad not as much suction power as i thought there would be

I currently have a VAX vacuum, this model:
argos.co.uk/sta…htm

I've got to say it is absolute rubbish. It has filters that they expect you to WASH after every use. The suction is terrible because there seems to be some internal valve that redirects it if there is anything other than a hair in the the filter.

Thsi model has put me off another VAX, I was resigned to paying £200 for a Dyson, who thinks this will be better than my recent experience of VAX products???

WOW I'm very impressed.

We had a VAX a while back, it was great but got relegated to car duty due to a ribbon being sucked into the motor, i cleaned it out but it was always noisy after that. So we bought an Electrolux (big mistake) which is actually rubbish. So we've been on the lookout for a new vacuum for a while.

This is a amazing bit of kit. OK its a bit heavy, but not overly. The suction is great, the supplied tools are very good, retractable cord, 6 year guarantee and I have to say, it is very very quiet. Infact the noise level alone made this deal even sweeter. I highly recommend!!!!

I've had a Vax upright for about the last year and a half, after doing away with a poor Hoover upright, and gotta agree with budmanuk, that the Vaxs' can be a bit on the heavy side, but its a fantastic vacuum cleaner, great suction, good onboard tools.

Also on the lookout for a new vac. Have not heard too many good things about these VAX ones .. even the reviews at the Comet site are off putting mostly. Not interested in Dyson, over priced in my opinion ... the people I know that do own Dyson are very happy with them, even though they replace parts now and then.

I've still got the first Dyson the DC01 and it picks up a lot better than the all floors DC24 even though i've had it since 1998!

I've heard many people say that none of the newer Dysons were ever as good as the 01,very bizarre!

i can’t believe you put the word Hoover in the tags......you’re a disgrace

I bought a SEBO Automatic X4 Pet upright vacuum cleaner a little while ago and I'm very impressed with it. I bought it from Cdiscount for £249 less their 10% account discount and less £15 Quidco. (Cdiscount don't currently have it in stock.) SEBO gives you a 5 year warranty (and a lifetime warranty on the belt!).

I'm totally sold on SEBO's approach to filtration. Absolutely nothing gets out and the bag takes an enormous amount before needing changing. I'd never again buy a "bagless" cleaner. SEBO's brochure can be found here: sebo.co.uk/Ima…pdf

The only other upright cleaner worth looking at (this is my opinion only, of course) is the (newish) "Meile S7260 Cat & Dog". It looks like Meile had read the SEBO brochure and included all the SEBO goodies. I know that Which? thinks highly of the make.

If anyone wants to know more about the SEBO, just ask.

Has it got anything to do with the fact that Vax only claim most of their 'Mach' upright models offer 150 air-watts of suction when measured at the hose?

Dyson DC08 cylinder claim 310 air-watts, Henry is 260 air-watts.

I bought a Vax U91-P3P 'Power 3 Pet' upright for £58 from Amazon last week. That has a claimed 280 air-watts of suction.

i posted this deal 2 months ago?!?!?
it was £99.99 then.
now it's gone up to £124.99 you guys vote it hot!!!! :?

Have to say i got a Sebo x1.1 after a bit of research on the net. About £120 new off e-bay, best vac i've ever owned, you can almost feel it pulling along the carpet as the brush bar is automaticaly highered and lowered to keep good contact with the carpets .
No dust going everywhere when emptying as its bagged, again cheep off e-bay. Sebo has got to be the best upright manufacturer, Miele for cylinder type vacs.

I have this Mach 7 model after having a dyson. Its good for the tools you get, the fact you can adjust the height, and switch off the brush bar. But it is heavy, and the suction isn't great, and it soon fills up - despite looking like it'll hold loads. I'm forever cleaning up after a couple of cats that love to tear boxes into little tiny bits, and it often doesn't lift the bits.

Sebo everytime....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDyvplUuiYY

I loved the fact that Meile advertising was everywhere and the guy was telling us how good the SEBO X4 is!

I'm sold on the Sebo I think ... just need to wait it out for a decent deal now
