about 12 stones when sitting on it and swinging my legs round.

In regards to cleaning products or electricity bill ?

Cleaning products if purchased in bulk is roughly £30 for 6 months.

Electricity, no more than £25 a month if you keep it on constantly to meet required temperature. (And follow instructions and insulation)

If you turn the heating off and only the pump running, turn heat on in advance I.E a Thursday night to be ready for a Friday/Saturday/Sunday soak you wont notice much increase at all.

I have a full spa/swim and my bills went up by £28 a month, this is constantly running and has triple the amount of water than a generic hot tub.

Can't run heater and bubbles at the same time. Can't get 6 adults in this, its more like 2 people spread out or 4 sat with their knee's up, they are not huge but I bought one a few years ago, the lid burst and the tub itself deformed but to be fair, its been battered and had my monies worth out of it, was debating upgrading to a full on fibreglass hot tub but you could buy one of these every few years and still have change... Think I may buy this again, got all the bits, the heater unit is fine, left it out over winter couple of times as well.. For £300 they are decent enough but...they are not huge and as I say thats the only downside compared to a proper one, if you only plan on using it for tinder dates then they are perfect!

Dionne, is it this model or another? Did you go for any options (ie steps)?
Usually all you get is the tub, pump/heater and lights if that model has them. We have the Paris and the side wall is strong enough to support about 12 stones when sitting on it and swinging my legs round.
One important tip, Don't inflate the tub completely until you have filled it, this is the reason for the seams splitting at first use. They are very good at easing joint or back pain.
This is a fantastic price! We have the hydro jet version to trial if we would use b4 getting a real one ... haven’t bothered as lazy spa so good! Have ours out all year.. had it for 2yrs now!

I have a Vegas absolutely love it very reliable. I've never purchased steps but I did buy the proper lay-z-spa mat to go underneath. I bought it to see how much use it would get before investing in the real thing. And it wasn't just a novelty kids use it on an afternoon and I use it at night. Its soo good I decided against spending £6k on a proper one and upgraded the car instead
I love my Miami but a bloody fox jumped on it and I think it's scraped it with its claws and caused a slow puncture somewhere. Wish I could keep them away from it.
Decent price, got this one, bit battered after 2 years of use, might get another one at this price, paid only a little less previous.

Yes. An outdoor pool in the UK. Swinging in the rain.
Had one for a few years convinced us to go all out on a 4 seater hot tub and swim spa.

These inflatables really do need good insulation underneath, we use the black playground mats topped with a lay-z-spa pool mat. That was on a patio with just a gazebo for shelter and it was being used until last autumns storms blew the fences down.

I went for the thin wall insulation for single brick builds in-between the inflatable and leather skin followed by a round foam pad used in swimming pools for the bottom. Never had a puncture either luckily!

One tip, when filling up, use your house gas boiler to hear the water for it... much cheaper and quicker to get it up and running for quick use.

In regards to running costs, £25 a month is a huge amount to go up each month but I was told it would be at least £50 a month
i cant justify £60 a year for cleaning products and over £300 a year on running costs at least. I appreciate some can though.

You can buy the Canadian spa kit around £30 from BnQ or amazon , it has chlorine, ph+ ph- foam stopper and test strips , perfect for my needs . You could buy all the bits cheaper separately but I’m a newbie and this sorted me .
Best £250 spent me the Mrs an kids love are hillbilly hit tub 💪
We have this for over a year. Kids had great fun last summer but stored in the garage over winter. Recently took back out and after couple of uses the seems for bubbles broke which means that we can only use it now as a hot pool

Had one of these for nearly four years, only just got a puncture. The covers suffer in the heat and disintegrate quite easily which is a shame and our pump lasted about 18 months. While they’re working they’re fab but if you’re unlucky they can be junk after just over 12 months.

Sure. Warm and wet makes it a bacterial heaven. High maintenance with lots of chemicals if done correctly. Big running costs on the electricity bill. Never ready unless you start 24 hours beforehand to heat it up. The cheaper ones generally fail quite quickly.

I bought the Palm Springs and the pump packed up after about 3 months of minimal use. Wasn't best pleased.

They're good fun for the money, the number of people it says they can take really depends how comfortable you are with people. Unlike a proper one there's no seating so you're going to be poking legs into each other 😄

High maintenance really depends how often you're using it and how many are using it each time.
When I used it and had one or two people at a time and made sure anyone showered first I didn't have to add many chemicals each day.

Yea the bacterial thing isn't great.. Particularly if people are talking about turning it on and off keeping the same water... Either leave it up high or empty it.

As per my other post the pumps on these do have a bit of a reputation!
Mine got punctured really quickly and was a bastrd to mend so i never really got any use out of it
Had one for 5 years, you do not need to buy expensive chemicals. A 5kg tub of pool chlorine should cost about £22 with postage, this lasts us a couple of years. I have never had any skin problems, but I do get a "rash" using the suggested chemicals, since we swopped and started using chlorine I've had no issues.
I was surprised you have to sit on the floor, I was expecting an inflatable seat. around the edge... so I sent it back.
I was initially put off by sitting on the hard floor but to my surprise most of your body weight floats inside these and very little of it gets transferred to your bottom.
