Slipped in and among all of the game discounts on Steam are two deals on Vegas Pro that might be the best I've ever seen. VP15 currently goes for £150 on MAGIX's site and the line only ever reached a minimum of £115 on Amazon with version 13.
VP14 is currently retailing for less than the consumer-oriented Movie Studio Platinum's RRP of £45 and remains far more capable, particularly in advanced track compositing; masking and 3D track-motion. VP15 - the newest release - has a £31.25 price-hike but supports GPU rendering, which might well be worth it if you've got a decent card in your PC.
It's not quite as capable as Premiere Pro, but Vegas is a damn sight cheaper and a one-off purchase! It's the best you're really going to get for YouTube content creation without taking out a second mortgage, especially at this price.
