Sure beats paying £1 - £2 a pack at the garden centre!

I'm reasonably sure this is normal price for them.

I have bought 'em in previous years and they germinate/grow just fine.

Bargain! Heat added!

lets go local in our gardens for our veg needs as much as we can, the more v decrease the demand for these to be imported from 7 seas the more we will help our environment

I'm all for it, we grow as much as we can!

Aldi also have some veg and flower seeds for 29p. I would recomend getting teh runner beans for kids , My little girl planted hers last week for scholl project and they are now 6 cm high with leaves @ 2cm. They climb with a cane or netting to @ 150-200cmand have lovely flowers adn of course at the end of season you can treat yourselve to some lovely runner beans.(not that ive ever tasted them!)

These are really good seeds, I bought some last year and they grew really well. Have stocked up again this year.
Heat added!

Hope they grow better than the leek seeds I got last year, useless things. And the damn Mr Fothergills Carrot Seeds, yeah, they really had a lust for life. Not.

So hot, at least you're only 29p out if they don't grow, and even if you get a single carrot, you're not doing so bad.

Lettuce always grow though, pick leaves off the growing plants as you need them. Herbs as well. Both of these are horribly priced in supermarkets yet grow like weeds.

Poundland have a great range of perennial plants for £1 ...fellow green finger folk

aldi are also stuffed full of gardening stuff including seeds for 29p and three soft fruit bushes for 1.99

 think i've just spammed ya thread by accident, sorry

I just hope they taste as delicious as LIdl food :whistling:

You can pay £2 for some moneymaker tomato seeds in a suttons, fothergills or T&m packet if you like. I'd rather pay 29p.

Also this post is about seeds, not the snobbery that surrounds UK supermarket shopping
