Great deal for a starter.

The chest of drawers is out of stock for delivery for both the beech and wenge, but pine effect is there for all three pieces.

bought this in white 2 years ago and everything fell to bits with moderate use within those 2 years apart from the bedside table. replaced everything with second hand pine furniture which is much better quality...... wouldn't buy cheap bedroom furniture from Argos ever again

reserved theres also a set at birstall leeds if its still there :-)

I bought these in white 2 weeks ago- don't waste your money- total rubbish, falling to bits already!!!

Love this wenge effect furniture set, would bring a complimentary warmth and accentuate an interior. a really competitive price too.
I spotted this from Furniture Factor which though more pricey, would provide a large statement piece in a room, furniturefactor.co.uk/pra…asp.

or this wenge range from homebase which is incredibly affordable.

homebase.co.uk/web…332

just picked up ! perfect for kids room . build it well and don't move around too much and will serve well . thanks p&p :-)

Argos sell such a lot of rubbish. My computer desk is now wobbly and on its last leg. The chrome bathroom towel racks showed up rust within 4 months ... Shame as it employs such a lot of people!

£5 voucher still if bought today.
We got some of these for the kids room and if you put it together well - extra glue, better screws, etc and change over the handles it's not too bad.
The Trigger's broom of bedroom furniture

at that's price that's just kitted out the spare room on the cheap wont ever be used cheers op

I have this set. The drawers are hard to open as they use simple cheap plastic rails. The wardrobe behaves like a sail in the wind. Don't put anything heavy on it. Bedside bit is tiny, nothing special. Cheap 3 part set, loved by the landlords that are renting out their flats

bought this set for my daughters room n its lovely. x

Cracking thanks for the read up!

Its flatpack, don't expect it to last 6 months of use before you have to buy a new one, maybe cheap but that's only because of the amount of complaints they will have had over it falling to pieces. If you cant afford better (even if secondhand) then buy some furniture blocks (£3 any diy place) and put 20 of them around the back of it and it might just hold up. I worked with furniture for 12 years but I wouldn't even have this for free as will need a skip for it before long.

If your furniture is falling to pieces within several months there are two things you can do:

1-complain to the specific store manger. If no luck proceed to consumerdirect.com

2-put together the furniture better/go on a DIY course

Having bought furniture from Argos before, it lasted about 6 months before it started to fall apart. It's cheap but a false economy.

I've regularly put flat pack furniture together and do a lot of DIY. I made sure I used wood glue on the joints to help them stay together but the worst was the chipboard crumbling under the weight of a wardrobe door that had a mirror on it - it fell from the top and could have hurt someone.

I have a desk from Ikea that has lasted over 12 years and they're not exactly expensive! I've never had any of their chipboard / particle board crumble on me before!

So it could be said... you're an armchair expert?

No I am not an armchair expert, I have done many flatpacks and have worked in the furniture industry for 12 years so I do know about furniture.

It was a joke.

New furniture so cheap and nasty these days. Even at this price, you're better off seeking out a decent set at an auction house or reclamation warehouse.
