There are cheaper packs out there, however not everyone knows the quality of the discs.

These days Brand name is everything,... or is it?

I've done some research and brand names are definitely not everything. The quality of the disc's are determined by the manufacturer.

media code of the batch I received is: MCC 03RG20

I buy TYG02 FOR £13/100 LOCALLY.

Can't remember exact price but I'm 90% certain that Sainsbury are cheaper than this at the mo.

Pardon?

I use Maxell packs of 100 which are currently £5 a pack cheaper than this from Play. And they have 5* reviews and I've had no problems - so I think I'll give this a miss.

If quality is important, the batch I have received is confirmed with the media code

Sorry, still missing something here - what makes this batch SO special compared to all the other batches and/or products out there that we should go out of our way to buy this batch?

keyword being Confirmed.

It may save someone from buying numerous batches. Like one of the posters in here, who buys a particular batch from his local made by Taiyo Yuden.

I used to buy TESCO DVD-R's, in one computer it'll allow me to Burn at the maximum 16x speed, in another, It'll only burn at 2x. It'll play in my DVD player but not in my in-laws.
