No, unfortunately the only way to expand the storage (at least currently) is via microsd cards.
Isn't this just a mechanical disk in a caddy? Nothing fancy here.

That said, it saves the trouble of having to source a disk and a caddy I suppose.
I use a 256GB Stick for my TV - I wonder if this will work with that...
...but remember to take it with you.
Or get this 1TB hard drive from 34.99 from WD (recertified).

I may be wrong, but, couldn't that also be said with pretty much any/all Portable Hard Drive's out there?.

Or ...
I remember buying a similar one to this some year's back (in VOLCANIC RED - or VOLCANIC ORANGE! - I forget now?, lol).

This one:

hotukdeals.com/dea…597

I loved it!.

I've since moved on to others ...

You're right - I was just (loosely) making the point that there isn't anything to shout out about here.
Is this just a normal HDD, or is there something special about it. Trying to work out how it's nearly 200 degrees.

You got me, yes.

I had never ordered something below 50 there.

It's about average at best. Cheap is stretching it a bit.

So it is just a normal hdd?

It still doesn't make it cheap.

If somebody posted a 30 pack of Sharpies in Tesco at £22 (which is their alleged RRP), it wouldn't make it cheap. When they are regularly available for £6-8 on a regular basis.

if I was in the market for a HDD, I would just wait.

Most expensive drive I have bought was a 2tb portable for £55, and that was average at the time.

HDD I have purchased over the years that I would class as cheap. 350gb portable for £7 or 2tb desktop drives for £22.

1tb for £43 will never been "cheap" to me, whether it's the cheapest available or not.

All the very best of luck with that wait then yeh?.

As I personally don't see the price's of any Recordable Media dropping any time SOOOOOOOO?!. :-(

In 2012/2013 the average going rate for a 1TB Portable Hard Drive was racking in around the £80-£100 mark! (I got online at the time for ONLY £60).

And in 2010/2011 the average going rate for a 1TB Desktop Hard Drive was between £80-£100 odd? (I got for around £65-£70).

And as per my previous/above link, as also mentioned here:

And that was in 2014, and that then was even CHEAP! (as again, the average going rate for a 1TB Portable Hard Drive was racking in around the £50-£70?!).

And in January 2016 (online) I was getting 64GB Micro SD Cards + Adaptors for between £11.15-£11.45 (where the average going rate for such things elsewhere was around the £15 mark?).

And in both June 2015, and July 2015 (in-store), I was getting 32GB Micro SD Cards + Adaptors for £7! (where the average going rate for such things elsewhere was around the £15 mark?/and more!).

And between the window of around August 2015-August 2016, you could buy (online) a 2 x 32GB Pack of Micro SD Cards + Adaptors for only between £18-£19 tops! (where the average going rate for such things elsewhere was around the £30/£40 mark?/and more!).

And... (do you see a 'pattern'?).

Allllll of the above aforementioned have yoyoed downwards over 'time', then SUDDENLY, BAM!, they've allllll since fluctuated alllll over the place like? - surely you've noticed such right? (if not before, then within the body of less than a 12 month window alone, etc, surely?).

These newer 'unfavorable' price's are sadly more here to stay ...

Of for any reason you genuinely know better then this, for any of my above (for either the near, and/or distant future etc), then feel free to message me asap please? (genuine comment), as I still have cheap/cheaper thing's to buy ... :-)

Wouldn't be for me neither to be honest, just an example of the only cheaper 1tb I've spotted.. 99p more for a new hard disk makes this deal a no brainer unless you're one of those that'll wait a year or 2 for the price to come down

I'm well aware of all that. but I'm sure someone who wasn't, might find it useful.

however, none of that makes this deal "cheap" in my opinion.
