Depend on which dye they are using. Like Taiyo Yuden, which normally say "made in Japan" on the packaging.

Can anyone help me with DVD+R and DVD-R?

Which should i use to burn data, music, video etc?

Thanks in advance.

Dvd-r are better for compatibility

Both can do those things. It just depends on which type of DVD burner you have. Some DVD burner only burns +R discs while others only burn -R. So make sure you buy the one suitable for your system.

Anyone know if the ones sold at play.com have Taiyo Yuden die? (I think they do if they say made in Japan on them)

Thanks. The Verbatim discs from play.com are made in India by Mitsubishi, and have media ID MCC 03RG20. Although no doubt not as good as the Taiyo Yuden's they're still categorised as "1st class media" at the website above.
