Was about to get the Samsung 320GB for £30 deal on here when found this 500GB for a tenner more. 2.5% Quidco. Meant to be down from £59.99.USB3.0. Collect in store for this price, delivered will presumably cost more.

Anyone having problems with the mastercard securecode page once you have submitted your order? It doesn't seem to be working for me and this was trying on Sat and today?

Rob

The mastercard security check would not work for me too, worked fine using a visa card.

Note for the OP. Delivery is free of charge and it is also next working day ( max 2 days). Petty good imo as that makes it quicker and more convenient than the delivered to store for collection option.

£1 Quidco Cashback tracking.

I got this drive, amazing USB3 drive.
Enjoying it thus far.

Exactly the same boat, was about to order the Samsung then saw this so got this instead.

Also had problems with the order as their web site is pants but after clearing cookies and history etc it went through and 1 quid tracked on quidco.

cancelled my pcworld order for the 500mb wd 2.5" drive. went for this in the end, usb3 and freebie nero worth the extra 2.95 over the western. i don't even have a usb 3 port but my next machine will. thanks op.

i had problems on the website but eventually after about the 6th time it worked..it always does that on their website

Can someone please tell me if the silver casing is metal or plastic?

I don't recall ever owning an external drive with a metallic case.

Samung drive inside mine according to windows 7, not sure if it's a sata or intergrated usb jobby but i bet it's the later.

Ordered in 12:30 the afternoon, turned up 8:15 the next morning. If I was to collect in store I would have had to wait a whole week before I could pick it up!

Shame you can't use a standard USB2 cable with it, if you do you get a nice beeping noise. The supplied USB3 cable must be used with a USB2 port.

@ thecresta so does this drive not work on normal usb 1 ports???

it works with any version of usb as backwards compatible, obviously at the slower speed of that port

Will this work with Mac comp's?

Got mine delivered. Gr8!<3
