£37.99 now, and 500GB code doesn't seem to be working.

Just checked and promotional code: 500GB is still working fine £38.99 -> £35.09

Has anyone got one of these already, what drive is inside please?
Cheers,
Rob.

Oh, mine went through at £35.09 using code so just over £34 with the cash back!

Brilliant, just what I was looking for.

As previously mentioned, use code 500GB for the price to come down to £35.09

The buffalo 1TB hard drive is quite cheap as well, (cheaper than any other 1TB hard drive I can fine elsewhere) code 1TB gives 10% off and there's quidco as well as usual.

The only thing is, the buffalo 1TB hard drives are USB 2.0 whereas the Verbatim one is USB 3.0

This one is cheaper although refurbished.

Brilliant spot OP, been looking for a good cheap hard drive, and this seems to fit the bill!

No, this is USB3.0.

Thanks OP, ordered and heat added

I bought one of these from Comet no so long back.

I was planning to collect in store, but they said it would take over a week for it to be delivered to store.

So I went for the free delivery - and it turned up the next day!

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick there.

Good price, some Medion 500GB USB 3.0 2.5", 3yr warranty ones in Lidl too. Obvs brand preference comes in but they are usually a similar HDD with a different case on them.

Look at the bottom of the page, it stated:

Product Number: 53021
Capacity: 500GB
Interface: USB 3.0
Dimensions: 121mm x 80mm x 15mm
Product Weight: 150g

Try reading dealfinder84's post verrry carefully. Great price for a 500 gig USB3 btw OP.

Heat added and ordered thank!

thanks ordered one too, didnt know i needed one!!!

I'm looking for one of these but which is better, this or the Seagate from Amazon?

Thanks

Out of stock for store delivery in my area, ordered though for home delivery

What is the make of the hard drive as i am just after the hard drive
and is it removable from the case and if so i can put a small 80 gig hdd in it.

I have about 8 of these (backup, wii etc etc) and as i repair computers also but recently bought one that was not removable from the case (well it was in the end but the case was a car crash)

How does this compare to the Toshiba Canvio3 portable HDD? Also USB 3.0

There's a seller on eBay who is selling 750GB & 1TB versions. On auction format so you could get lucky. But if we compared like for like 500GB and you were to get it for same price... which drive would be a better buy and why?

I get more Toshiba drives that are faulty than any other drive

Do not know why but they also seem to be the worst for being recognised by some computers.
This is in response to the above double post lol

What's the difference between usb and usb 3?

3

I meant usb 2 and 3. Is it just the number of ports then?
