I noticed all blank CDs and DVDs were half price in my local Sainsburys, regardless of the brand.

Yes,but they are not this cheap or Verbatim. SONY!! :-)Would you buy sony discs?

Brand doesn't bother me - I must have a decent PC because I never get 'coasters'.

22p each for Verbatim sounds fair to me, especially without having to buy thousands at once!

That said, I usually only buy brand names when they are cheap, and to be honest the last ones I bought were a lot cheaper than these, but if you are after a brand, then this seems to be decent enough.

I agree with "BristolDeal" anyway, as I have (written) DVDs & CD that are YEARS old and perform perfectly, and I have not had a coaster in a few years either - I don't do anything special to them, and only store them in a cheap case.

Bought 50 in siansburys at swindown for £8.49 on sunday had + & - verbatim to same price perhaps i was just lucky?

I try not to use any other discs these are actually made by Taiyo Yuden and they are great discs.

If these are made in Singapore (best) or Taiwan (good) it's not a bad deal, but not so good if they're from the Indian factory.

I believe they're still cheaper @svp but are often out of stock.

The last Verbatim discs I bought were Ty and made in Japan. Cost £9.99 … The last Verbatim discs I bought were Ty and made in Japan. Cost £9.99 for 100. (50 packs Bogof Staples)Effectively these are more than double the price and lesser discs.

Verbatims are ace...nice find.

Actually my last ones were from Japan so probably depends where they are made.
