Sorry.. donno how I got £12.73.. amedning the OP

Don't know if anyone else has had any problems, but I used to get the Verbatim 16x +r with a paper liner around the plastic which were fantastic. The new ones in the cellophane wrapper have been disastrous, had no luck whatsoever, all but one disk was a coaster. Took the second pack of 50 back to Maplin, swapped for 16x -r which have been fine.

Heat & rep added, and ordered.
Re: coasters - I used to have problems with some brands but since getting a new dvd writer everything seems to burn fine (bet i start getting coasters now I've said that :p).

verbs have gone down hill a lot lately ive been getting several coasters where the disk wont even write, try pidata blue 16x excellent value £10 for 100

That's because they are now manufactured in various different countries. I was reading the ones marked Singapore are good.

have some rep & heat for that one edi, started to read them before i decide on the heat!

With the dvd-r the japanese are by far the best having the ty dye - not sure on dvd+r though.

The country is marked by the barcode.

Anybody bought these and checked the Media ID of the disk?
If so let us know:thumbsup:

If as I think they will and the ID is YUDEN000T03 then they are a great buy at this price as they are rated as First class Media by ]digitalFAQ.com

Sorry forgot to mention, the ones I got were Taiwan (most in the store were Indian so I avoided them, have heard bad things), but they were MCC 004, just like the ones I had before which worked - hence why i can't understand the problems this time around.

A lot of the time they've been burning different coloured circles, tried changing speed, no better. -Rs have been much better. Tried on my macbook too and our lasses laptop, the +r's are rubbish. Could just be a bad batch but there's other reports if you google it

I have always used Verbatim's but not the MCC 004 just the YUDEN000T03 which have
been great with my Liteon drive, sorry to here Bossworld you had bad luck with yours :?

Yeah these are big discs - Try bigpockets or SVP for small camcorder DVD discs

"Made in Japan" (by barcode on Verbatim packs means Yuden T03 dye and are 100%. Made inSingapore are reasomable but have had several coasters from Made in India. Trouble is that one branch of a store may have made in japan discs and another made in india

Well Done Edi! Super Deal!

I just got through some of these (made in Taiwan) and had to bin between 10 and 15 of them. Not sure if I want to risk getting them again. But is a hot price.

**Edit Sorry, I just noticed actually, I got -R and these are +R.. so ignore me**
