if pc world still do them pricematch time lol

if you want to wind pc world up, get them to pricematch play. 10 discs for £10.70. It's around the computer fair price, without having to pay entry (or smell the nerd BO).

Also means you can make sure you get Made in Singapore discs, rather than the poor Made in India.

You can pricematch for upto 7days after buying it pc world - useful if you bought them in the last 7 days.

The 8x version of these is on Scan for £10.90ish and if you buy 2 you can get free delivery via the Hexus method

The 8x are MKM-003 rather than MKM-001.

Personally I've found them to be very similar in quality (they both burn at 8x anyway, although they perform best at 2.4x - 4x), but some drives seem to have problems with the MKM-003.

I used to always get the 25 packs of the MKM-001 from scan, but recently they have had some awful batches - discs that just refuse to work in a 360, slight blemishes on the recording surface. A pity because £25 for 25 printable discs delivered was great. Last time I needed discs I got pc world to pricematch scan - not the printables but still ~£1 a disc. =]

Last spindle I got from PCW was MII (I didn't pick them up myself).

Picked up some MIS as mentioned above by Robotochan cheaper; as far as quality goes I've not had any fail from either batch so I'm not fussy.

Are these the same but cheaper slightly ?

Slightly cheaper if you are near one of the stores in bristol/london, otherwise they are £17.55 delivered.

its a decent enough price - these are indeed more than double price if buy at pc world if u can get in stock. i found in the end that theyre pointless and unless u specifically need them stick to normal single layer....

Tell that to my 360... =]

But yeah, unless you are burning 360 games/BD9's (or the one Wii DL/few PC DL games) then stick to single layer. Cheaper and far more reliable.

I think what DUN3 means to say is - you can't play downloaded games on your 360 with single layer media.

No wait I meant "backups"!

I only backup games worth playing. =] DL discs for the 360 are to see if a game is worth playing before I buy it. Unfortunately I've found very few games worth more than 5minutes of my time/the £1 the disc cost, never mind RRP.
