Store, stream and share files wirelessly from anywhere!

Tablets and smartphones are often limited by their built-in storage capacity and their ability to access content saved elsewhere. This Verbatim MediaShare Wireless is a portable wireless streaming device which has been cleverly designed to provide you with more memory for your iPad, iPhone, tablet and other smartphones. You can access and enjoy your files without wires or an internet connection. You can wirelessly stream video, music, photos and data to up to 5 devices simultaneously!

You can even access files saved on your portable hard drive, USB drive or SD memory card from your iOS or Android tablet or smartphone via the MediaShare USB port or SD memory slot. This allows you to backup all your precious photos and videos from your tablet or smartphone onto a physical storage device. Both the SD card slot and the USB host port are hot swappable and content can be transferred between the two storage formats when connected. It can even bridge connection to another wireless network, wireless hotspot, iPhone hotspot, 3G etc. allowing you to play content from the internet whilst another device streams content from the MediaShare!

Powered by a 3000mAh rechargeable battery for extended battery life, you can easily re-charge via a PC/laptop USB, Verbatim Power Pack, or mains power (micro USB smartphone mains power charger and cable required). The MediaShare can also be used as an emergency charger for smartphones (requires smartphone USB cable).

The Verbatim MediaShare file management App is available to download from the AppStore or Google play - it allows you to:

Connect with MediaShare Wireless

Cheaper even if you have to pay for delivery

Same price on scan's ebay auction (buy it now). Tempted to get, even with so many features, but £40 is a lot for a nice-to-have. Heat added.

Where does it say it's a hard drive ?

The first line when it says "Store" surely means that it must be a hard drive or something. So is this is just an enclosure?

u d/l the app from google or app store then you connect wirelessly to ur phone / tablet and stream or d/l from this

Have just returned my Maxell Air Stash to give this a go. Shame a hard drive has to be a powered one.

This is just a wifi interface, and gets a bit clumsy if you want to add an HDD. The Patriot Gauntlet Node is £25 more but can take a proper internal HDD. If you are going to the fuss of extra storage that would make a lot more sense to me.

Also worth checking if any of your devices (smartphone, tablet) supports USB OTG. If so you can essentially replace this verbatim device with your phone/tablet for nothing aside from the 59p for theWifi Explorer Pro app.

I thought it had a hard drive but it doesn't like it

So it would be best described as a networked USB hub.

Does anyone know if this would stream to AppleTV running xbmc?

A fact I totally missed. Thanks for saying.

I received mine yesterday and can confirm that you can use portable hard drives, they DO NOT have to be powered ones.

Thank you for confirming, Mistadoov - that'll do for me
