My FIRST deal post - be kind!

Been looking for a new phone to follow my ageing Xperia Z2 - I want future-proofing as much as possible with RAM and ROM and importantly NFC which is rare on Chinese phones (they don't use Android Pay I believe).

This seems to be the best deal I found and seeing as I went through 5 screens on the Sony the rugged and IP68 suits me perfectly.

Click the link for the listing & full spec - it's a sale for the next few days.

Cashback is 1% existing and 3% new customers

Cue the usual "No warranty" "Import Charges" "it's not an iPhone" "Chinese phone" and other comments - but if you're ok with all that I think this is a bit of a bargain...

Works from -30deg C to +60deg C so if it gets voted cold / hot it might still operate as a phone!!!

Thanks for sharing. Very good deal!!
Memory and storage both very decent here. Heat for that but would be interested to know from somebody more technical than me on the performance.

Here's a recent review, only uploaded yesterday
Just a note that you want to be careful about NFC on these Chinese phones, if they are rooted they will not work with all apps, and even if not if the OS is not recognised you may face problems with some NFC payment platforms.
Probably, though, you'll be just fine. This looks like quite a lot of phone for the money. Heated (though many don't rate Mediatech).
I rather buy the Mix 2 Oukitel 6gb ram for £150 on various sites. Not sure the NFC feature on this phone works . But this has both Europe and USA 4g bands so better for those travelling to USA.

Good first post - THANKS!!!
Battery is real concern.... well I was looking at ulefone power 3 model with almost same specs but with 64gb storage and 6080mah battery! And it worth almost £50 less than this phone.... £152 delivered ...

Looks like a great piece of kit but beware the customs charges and non existent returns policy
Be wary of preloaded malware lurking - Vernee has done it in the past (is all I’m saying). Also the IP68 probably isn’t backed up by anything - I had the discussion with a Chinese seller a while back about IP54 certification, they said ‘no it’s just splash proof that’s why there was no rubber gasket/seal’!

Otherwise it looks good for the money, though I would still stick to Xiaomi and OnePlus for top tier Chinese brands personally.

I wasn't aware of differences with NFC - the review that louiselouise kindly added states that NFC is only for file transfer NOT for Android Pay. It's a functionality I really wanted.

There are other rugged phones around this price point that do support Android Pay - notably the Blackview BV9000 Pro gearbest.com/cel…=11 which has very similar specs to my original post - USA/Canada networks worse, but along with the NFC working for Pay it seems to have a better camera (including 4k video)... for about £30 more (you can get it cheaper - it's c£217 on Aliexpress but that site isn't approved by HUKD) AND higher screen resolution as well as Dual SIM + Micro SD (the Vernee Active is Dual SIM or x1 SIM + Micro SD)

I'm torn!

With Antutu score 62k it's one of the slowest new phones available. Welcome back to 2015.

I won't think we have to any taxes... as a aliexpress always send as gift or low value item.... if by chance you have to its just £30 on top.... but that's last option and still it works out about £15 to £20 cheaper than this...

I've been very casually looking at "rugged" phones for boyf who is pretty rough with his - I saw a Blackview BV8000 Pro review where the reviewer was not impressed with the waterproofing at all. Surprised as the Blackview phones are getting better and better reviews and I thought this brand was trying to up their game..

If rugged is important to him (and you!) my serious recommendation is buy a proper branded device like a Samsung Galaxy Active handset (bit hard to find as US-exclusive) or get a waterproof normal device and apply a good quality case (UAG, Spigen, etc.), e.g. Apple iPhone or Sony Xperia XZ1 and then get a good tempered glass to go with it too. Just not worth the hassle if you get a supposed waterproof device that fails and then having to argue cross-country borders with non-native English-speaking support.
personally id stay clear of vernee, i have the apollo x and support is absolutely none existant and your more likely to get updates on your commodore amiga . pitty

i suffer with loss of signal and other issues which they dont want to know about, i suggest going on forums for vernee and reading peoples issues

For mid range that is fast. And the P25 like the SD625 sios battery power.

Man I love my Power 3, and I thought the Power 1 lasted ages. It's like the old days of Nokia 3310's, you can just forget about charging for 3,4 or 5 days.

Just don't use DHL, select "NLPost" in the checkout, my phone was marked at $15.
