Already posted mate - at a higher price, but the lower price was added in the thread. Went cold anyway.

So touch sensor is actually fingerprint sensor. Nice for this price.

Oh blimey I should have searched! Apologies! On a separate note I took the plunge with this so I'll let anyone who's curious know what it's like on arrival if anyone's interested!

Nice one, main things I'd be interested in if possible;

1) OS; any annoyances/malware etc.
2) Phone sound quality/volume/can people hear you etc.
3) Battery life.

No problem! It may take 3-10 days to get back to you though

I own a vernee mars, happy so far, quick, full day s battery life, superb build quality, good call quality. Bluetooth & GPS are a bit iffy. £150 for the pro is a good price

Looks decent at that price. I've been tempted into this end of the market since getting the pptv to replace an iPad mini, haven't replaced the iPhone 6 just yet tho. Would love to find one that has a competing camera but hasn't crept back up in price range like the new one plus.

I mention the phone in a lot of these threads but I can whole heartedly recommend the Lenovo P2, one of the best phones I've owned.

2-3 day battery life with ease.

Will this run banking apps without an issue? Also does anyone know what the battery life is like?

I am looking at buying the P2 but slightly worried about camera reviews on YouTube. How bad is it actually in real world? Not a keen photographer but just snaps of kids. And also, does the UK version have the nougat update yet?

Camera is fine in all but low light. You can use Open Camera (app) to get access to more manual settings. I use it for snapping the kids too, does just fine.

Nougat wise (still to update mine as there's little real benefit) you can download the official ROW (rest of world) ROM and flash the phone using an SD card with no need to root or meddle, so the option is there. You'll receive OTA updates then direct from Lenovo without Three being involved.

Phone is spot on, and the screen is excellent. Battery is easily 12-14 hours of screen on time.

Here's a pic I just took:

I had a look at some benchmarks for the Mediatek processor before diving in. I'll post some of my own when it arrives to see if there's any differences! I hope the Bluetooth isn't too bad, I'm probably one of the few people who isn't desperately annoyed by phones dropping the headphone jack!

I'm a little surprised at the lack of anti-Gearbest thoughts so far; on that note I did add expedited shipping and insurance which cost £6 in total in case anyone else has the same thoughts!

Anything other than their freebie postal service is likely to incur both the interest of, then followed up by the roth of, the Customs & Excise people! (and with it, additional Service Charges, etc?).

You may however be one of the fortunate few that avoids their missiles though?.

But just bare it in mind that ...

I hope you enjoy your phone though. :-)

I made a vague attempt at providing instructions that it was a gift. You're probably right though I didn't think about that! I'll let you know if it all goes tits up, I'll remain optimistic until then though...!

I actually quite like that feature, I think it's a nice aesthetic vibe. I had the LG G4 until it bootlooped me and I still like it's sort of black piece of glass vibe. Of course it's a rather expensive paperweight these days

That's where you're mistaken. There is also a hardware multi-gesture home button that performs back/home/recent app, in addition to on screen buttons you can disable.

I got the original Vernee Mars yesterday of eBay for £80 for that it's a bargain!!!Good screen on it but average camera.

that's a bleedin' understatement, GPS is useless, Bluetooth goes on and off when it feels like it. screen gets hot and goes dim, software is very buggy, I've 2 Mars and wish i had gone Xiaomi.

Out of curiosity, is it updated to current software version? Not saying you're wrong just wondering if there's a solution to that frustration. I live in central London, GPS is often a problem here and that sounds annoying!

Well no im not wrong because they still removed 2 of them and thats just ****. How is removing two hardware touch buttons and replacing them with gestures on one button better or using valuable screen space for virtual buttons.... Iv read its for the mongs that cant stop pressing the back button accidently but thats a load of rubbish.

Well, you are wrong as the buttons are there just utilised in a different manner.

1x tap = Back
1x hold = Recent apps
1x physical press = Home

It makes absolute sense, especially when you can enable direct capacitive buttons of you wish.

That being said, I suspect you'll still find issue with this as the advanced human being you appear to be.

Maybe trust someone who has used upwards of a dozen mobile phones to give you a reasonably balanced point of view, or, just assume I'm one of the "mongs" and am trying to mislead you.

Yep, 7.0, latest Mars update 20161202.

Navigation is impossible in unknown areas, as it jumps about randomly.

I've been offered a repair under warranty, but to be honest sending back to China (£15) waiting a month for them not to fix it (as if it was fixable they'd have updated the software to do so), is not ideal.

I've got a Xiaomi and wish I got a Lenovo.

Xiaomi didn't even manage to bugfix their damn microphone (noise cancellation). It's impossible to make calls without shouting at the phone...

Is this better tahn a iPhone 7 ?

Arg that does sound annoying, i'll let you know if it's somewhat isolated or if it's just a general problem. Sending back to China does sound frustrating but perhaps worth one month with a burner to have a phone that actually works! I'll report back what I find regardless , I hope it fares a little better

What about a decent case for this phone, would it take just the same as the normal vernee mars?

Hey guys, the Vernee arrived yesterday; a couple of quick thoughts for you!

1. Build quality is good, it feels very much in the vein of the Iphone 6 plus, in fact it looks very much like it in many respects.

2. It's quick! So far it's handled everything I've run through it, games look lovely on it and movies play well.

3. Screen, it good be better, my old G4 was QHD, so this is a bit of a step down. However, QHD seems harder and harder to find these days and for the price I can't complain.

4. Touch sensor: iffy at best. I think it's a bit small, I'd say a 75% success rate.

5. Strangely, I can't get notifications to wake up the phone, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong here, but they don't display quite as nicely as I'd like.

Over all, very impressed for the money! Happy to answer any questions you might have

i read gonna be a couple of ota updates to fix niggles, should have mine in next couple of days.need to root it for viperforandroid
