Bought one of these a few weeks ago and I've been very impressed. App is good and cam quality is excellent both in daylight and with night vision. Bonus of having two way audio too.

Purchased, but if this does not allow me to use it on the local network …Purchased, but if this does not allow me to use it on the local network only (without an internet connection) its going back.I dont trust amazon with a video camera on my house (ring doorbell) let alone a random chinese company.

It won't work via LAN. The clue is in the name...IP camera. Probably cancel it, and order some tin foil hats instead 😁

Can I ask a silly question. I don't see any cables so how is this powered & how does it work?

You can extend a usb, like you can extend any power cord. Unless you're trying to plug it into the sun, you should be alright!

That would be true of any power source other than a battery really, you could always use a usb power bank i suppose.

Ever heard of a Local IP address?

As its a generic Chinese product there is bound to be some third party software around. If not, it goes back.

ONLY an IP camera can possibly work via a LAN.

This plus lack of POE means this camera is essentially worthless. I got an SVC camera from Amazon a few months back which is decent enough (but at about twice the price of this). I need another camera now so I'm going to try one of these for about £28 smile.amazon.co.uk/loo…h=1

I'm not sure the worth of the camera is defined by what's used to power it. I prefer USB and thus far the camera has proved it's worth. Good luck with your additional dome!
Good deal. Expired now though.
