Just ordered this bike, it seems half decent for the price and has an alloy frame though only available at 18 inch frame size but big enough for me at 5ft 9in. Could'nt save an image.

Not for a Road bike? Medium sizes for Road bikes are 54-56 cm (21.25"-22")

I have looked at many size guides online including youtube vids all say for my height 18 inch frame is the perfect size and thats coming from pro riders.

I think Tesco have ballsed up the sizing and sized it like an mtb as 18inch is standard medium for an mtb and if you comvert 18inch to cm it would equate to 45cm which is then going into child roadbike sizing and as you know child road bikes dont normally have 700c wheels, I could be wrong but think thats whats happened in this case.

Also noticed they have it listed as 700c but have the wheels listed as 26inch in the wheel description so could well be a kids bike, would need to order one to find out lol !

I think so too, 18inch road bike would be for a 8-9 year old child. (about 4ft 5 tall).

Horrible quality components. Woeful bike which will cause more issues than will give pleasure

Why do I see lots of these cheap bikes on here, lots of heat and people telling everyone that they are good enough, yet I never see any at all on the road when I go for a ride?

I'm guessing that they are all in garages rusting?

Love the gear setup on this - reminds me of my first road bike with gear changes on the frame ... it's like the bike that time forgot

To be honest you will get what you pay for , for a good budget bike you will probably look at £400 +, which is more than what I would have probably paid were it not for my employer being in cycle scheme so I could pay monthly for one.i agree with bike74 I can't see this lasting long or being nice to ride...

I wouldn't like to go downhill 30mph on one of these, might snap in half.

Remember going down the dual carriageway Warrington to Chester road on a lovely long downhill stretch and reached a speed of 60mph and that was a bit scary how the pro racers go down the mountain passes at speeds up to 70mph is incredible.

Problem with those is that both seller and some peeps will try to convince you that it's a good value. It isn't. They are dangerous at best of times. If you cannot afford anything more than £100 get single speed bike. They are cheap and cheerful with low maintenance cost.
