Well, provided that you realise that Hahn is not Frankfurt and its in the middle of nowhere in relation to having Frankfurt in the name of the airport. It's a bit like Margate being called London Margate, except that Margate has got more going for it.

By the time you've got to Stansted and from Hahn you can might have well signed up for a Marathon lol.

Never suffered with Ryanair personally , but heard and seen at first hand of so many cancellations , poor service etc that I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole

A bit like buying a phone from a Chinese seller - If you are lucky you save a few bob , if you aren't lucky you are well and truly shafted

Tell that to the 500 people - approx.- ( 3 Ryanair flights cancelled ) from EMA on Sunday 18 Mar - a bit of snow . All other flights Jet2 , TUi , Thomas Cook (mine) all left with an hour or two delay . Not much fun if you have a week or two in a Hotel that you can't get to booked and paid for

I like that analogy. Having been shafted by Chinese phone seller, but never having flown Ryan Air!
Stansted... Smoking hot!

Ditto Milan and Malpensa. Milan's local airport is Linate. Malpensa is about 50km away. Whatever you save on the flights you will spend on getting to and from the airports.

Ah yes, the number 73 bus and 20-30mins from the centre of Milan to Linate is a breeze.
No wonder it's cheap - over 100km's to Frankfurt. And Frankfurt isn't exactly Berlin.

Really only a good airport for a cheap connecting flight somewhere else
I agree re the naming but I guess they need to market themselves as strongly as possible.

Regardless, Hahn is great for flying into an effortless airport, rent a camper and go get lost in the Mosel Valley. Great wines and be rewarded by reaching Koblenz at end of it.

Malpensa? A lovely ride up a valley to some beautiful lakes and the Alpes? - you can keep Milan!

A couple of nights in milan is enough and then a week at Lake Como.
