National Tyres and Autocare currently have a great offer running on a oil and filter change but you need to order online. I took advantage of this yesterday and it cost me £43.82 for my 2.2ctdi Honda and it was all sorted within an hour. The oil used was TITAN SSYN F ECO DT5W-30 premium performance engine oil. Even the manager commented, 'That's cheap!"

The starting price was £48.69, I applied code DV125 which reduced the price by 10% and removed the oil disposal charge (no mention that this has been removed on the on the order confirmation page) which removed a further £1.70.

Don't forget 6% quidco, mine tracked at £2.14 so potentially take the total price down to £41.68.

Once you recieve your order confirmation you need to ring up your nominated branch to arrange a time to take in your vehicle.

my car ( Honda civic 2009 1.4i SEi quoted £74.66.

£30 tops for oil and filter retail, so maybe not all that cheap.

Banned

Sorry, years of experience of incompetence has put me off ever using them again for anything. Damaged alloy wheels on two occasions, never properly balance unless asked to do so. I could write a book!!
If they cant even fit and balance tyres properly, then no way are they getting near my oily bits!

can vouch for them in my experience

Surpised they didn't try and charge you extra for oil disposal.
Bet they used Tesco value oil behind your back.

For 8 quid, I'm happy for them to get covered in oil, make a mess and dispose of the old stuff for me, thanks.
My time is far more valuable than that!

Oh, and mine would need two bottles @£30 a pop....

Good deal have placed order for my sons car

Cheers

Just quoted on mine (2l 163bhp Mondeo tdci) and got the same base price (needs 6 litres) applied code, and got a discount, but it didn't remove oil disposal... I'm guessing yours was a error or anomaly... Still decent price if this is all you need.
My total came to £45.42

You need to untick the oil disposal box!

Good price if your car has a big engine (2000 cc and over) and needs lots of oil, not so good if you have a smaller engine.

I personally wouldn't trust them with my car, but that's only from my experience with them. On the plus side of the deal, if I show the price to the local garage I've used for years, they match the price for me!!

Id say nearer £20 for the oil, even cheaper if bought by the drum.

They did mine a couple of months ago - same price . No issues ( they didn't try to charge extra to remove/refit the undertray , which it says they may do when you book ). They did say my aux belt needed replacing, but i declined from letting them do it.
Like others have said its not much cheaper to do it yourself ( my car uses 6 litres of 5w30 ford spec oil ).

"Some vehicles may require the sump tray to be removed in order to carry out an oil change. If required a small labour charge may apply"
Haha I'm surprised they don't charge for parking as well

52 quid is expensive for their oil, I only use total quartz in mine and it's £25 a tub. If you don't want to do it yourself get the oil and filter you want and ask your local mechanic to do it he'll charge you 10-15 quid and won't try to tell you your tyres are perished lol.

Good deal. £42 for my 1l petrol car! They used top oil though.

Just a word of warning... a mate took his newish BMW there not so long ago... the oil they use is stored in unlabelled barrels (although they say they use Castrol Edge) - so who knows what oil they actually put in?

Secondly, its not unheard of these type of garages to cause oil leaks from the sump plug due to misaligned/overtightened sump plugs - just be warned!! Also over-filling has also been an issue..

Personally, I'd rather pay 30-40 squids extra to an indi who knows what he is doing and who you can trust is using the correct grade of oil..

Anyone had any similar experiences?

Remember - if a deal is too good to be true, it probably is..

Many thanks..
