If you like a good lager, then this is worth a go.
I don't normally drink lager unless it's half decent stuff. Plenty of body / taste.
I haven't looked to see similar German lagers and the prices, maybe cheaper stuff out there.
All I am saying IMO this is good stuff at 3.99 for 6

I love this stuff and pick it up whenever I'm in Aldi. But isn't it always this price?
I like this stuff too - but £3.99 isn't a deal, it's the standard price.
This beer and others like heffe are so much cheaper in Germany. I paid about £1 for 4 bottles in a Lidl over there. UK Tax laws will always stop the best deals on stronger beer.

Always get me these posts about "I don't normally drink lager unless it's half decent stuff" or "If you like a good lager". Forgot to add "German". There is no such thing as 'Good Lager', is only good if you like it.
Someone please define for me what constitutes "good lager" or "half decent"?
Surely what someone likes, someone else will dislike. Unless you are a brand snob, or someone who likes to buy the most expensive available.

This is the usual price! Great lager, yes, but not a deal!

As others have said though it's down to personal taste....

The Two brands you have listed there though as "Tasteless" are the UK's top Two selling lagers in both on and off trade so they must have something right in there recipe...(_;)

Have to disagree both fosters and carling are vile the only thing they have got right is prehaps their marketing campaigns and their cheap deals on cases in supermarkets.

I cant be sure but i very much doubt carling or fosters are popular draft in pubs unless they are much cheaper than the competition.
Enjoying an ice-cold Stella Artois on the terrace of a bar in Antwerp, freshly brewed from down the road in the Belgium Stella brewery in Leuven....that's tasty

As i said...they are the Two top selling lagers in the uk in both off trade (supermarket/off licence) and on trade (pubs/clubs)

Carling is #1 and has been for many years, Fosters #2
It's cheap and highly marketed. Popularity is not an indication of quality.
    No deal.Cold.
    standard price.
    but it is a reinheitsgebot.
Only way to make foster / carling tasty is add lime cordial
