The Viavito Onyx folding exercise bike is a convenient and practical piece of equipment that will help you get in shape and work your lower body. There are 8 levels of manually-controlled magnetic resistance and the cast iron flywheel weighs 1.2kg (2.6lbs) and is friction-free, encouraging smoother motion. This indoor cycle is strong but light and easy to fold up and store after use, making it very space-efficient and an excellent choice for use at home. The single LCD console will display a full range of live session feedback including time, speed, distance, calories, odometer and your pulse when using the hand pulse sensors. The saddle is padded and you can adjust the height to suit you, and the foot straps on the self-presenting pedals are also adjustable.

Really? Remind me why I've lost 3 stones solely due to an exercise bike then?

If it's not used then it is. If it's used regularly it is a great way to keep fit and lose weight.

The above bike is fine if you lack space and require a beginners exercise bike... FYI...

Reebok Z Power is similar to one's you can use at gyms, far more resistance levels and preset levels to mix it up.

uhh not at all? burn more calories than you eat

If you're eating a sensible diet then any exercise will aid weight loss, if you're shopping for afolding exercise bike I am guessing it's going to be your only piece of equipment meaning you are increasing your activity levels from nothing to something

there is psychology behind it too, purchasing equipment makes you feel obligated to stick to it, same goes for fitness trackers.

I lost 5.5st from cycling and diet, yes it wasn't a stationary bike but I only did a few miles each night - it would have been no different to me on a stationary one

Could be something to do with all the pedaling thats working the largest muscles in your body and burning calories while your sitting down .

How many miles per night specifically and what was your diet?... asking for a friend
1.2kg flywheel will only provide minimal resistance. You’re better off finding one with a heavier flywheel. Example: Roger Black Gold has 3kg flywheel and is cheaper than this by £30. So, voted cold 🥶

Business is business, it’s not robbery it’s business. It’s not fair trade coffee.

I should of been more clear sorry,
If you have an excess amount of weight to lose then initially yes you would lose weight but once you reached somewhere near a healthy weight it’s incredibly difficult to work hard enough on a exercise bike to increase your heart rate enough to start to see additional weight lost say for example that last stone or half a stone you wanted gone.

So in the long term you’d have to look to something more physically demanding than a exercise bike if that’s what you are looking for.
