I posted this a while ago and it got over 400 heat. It was priced back then down to £20.99 and is now down to £20. Available in just black and just white.

A few screenshots of the cam in action (Cam footage is better than the quality of my pictures, but you get the idea)

Initially I had some problems but resolved them and actually it's a great device. A very good, easy to set up and use camera. Good for monitoring dogs or the home generally when out and about. Download the app, connect the camera and it's all good to go.

Amazon are having a sale on these types of camera at the moment by the looks of it. Here's a few more with quite good reviews (I've posted the Vibero camera as the main deal because I personally use it and know its a great device, although the reviews and camera screenshots of these look good):

Would this be suitable to keep an eye on the wife? She's had the plumber around 4 times already this week. Plunging the pipes apparently.

Yep. There's an app to download on your phone (IPC360). Then you can view live, real time footage with sound. It has a microphone and speaker on the camera as well to talk through your phone. You can also turn the camera and zoom in via your phone.

There's also options to record to a SD card or record footage as it's viewed to your phone.

I don't blame you for having suspicions. I've heard a lot about these sneaky plumbers. I think this camera should be sufficient enough but the only problem is it isn't waterproof
this camera only supports 2.4GHz WiFi which is not good for most people this days.

Most routers will have both 2.4 and 5 as modern routers are mainly dual band.

What are you on about? "most people" won't know or care what band it is, as long as it works.
I have a similar camera made by Motorola, the camera was ok, the main problem I had was the app, no matter what device, it was unreliable and very hit and miss.

This camera uses the IPC360 app, which although different, has only 3.4* and the negative reviews all show the same problems we had with ours... just a thought but if you are checking the product reviews, dont forget to check the apps for your device, as you may have the same issues.
thanks for warning about the software, will now try to cancel my putchase. loll
The ipc360 software isn't exclusive for this camera, it's the software used for quite a few models and brands so people having problems with it possibly have a different camera. 3.4 rating isn't representative of how well this device specifically works with the app.

What's for certain is the last time I posted this up, HUKD put delvfire completely out of stock with the amount of purchases. Nobody reported any problems with getting the software to work with the camera.

I think I was the only person with initial problems because the plug's USB connector was slightly warped (typical I get the one with a problem) which was resolved quickly with delvfire who are very responsive.

99% of these wifi cams are only on the 2.4ghz band, which is also the main problem when folk try to set them up, you gotta disable the 5ghz band first on your router, THEN run the App.
cancelled it, thanks again. now I have more idea about what I need and how it should work.
Can you view this camera from more than one device. I have one in the nursery that only let's you view from one device, if I try and put onto another device it deactivates from the other device.

You can yes via the app. I haven't had any reason to try it but others have. Download the ipc360 app on the other device, create an account then share the feed via the app to the other account.
Thanks I’ve been thinking about getting one to check on the dog while we are out.. at this price it’s worth a punt and reviews look good enough for me
Bought, been looking for a decent priced one for ages. £20 is a bargain. Cheers
Why is there no mention of the monthly subscriptions when these things are posted?

There are NO monthly subscriptions to use the camera. The app is completely free. You can view live footage, share the footage for someone to view at the same time on another device, record footage as you watch to mobile device and record footage constantly to an sd card (not included).

There is the ability to have cloud storage through the app. There's a free trial of cloud storage and then it requires a subscription but its completely optional (People would expect cloud storage to cost anyway).

There's "SD card record settings" in the app but when I press it I can't see the options as I have no SD card in mine.

I've read in the help page of the app:
"If a Micro SD card is installed in the camera" "drag your finger on the timeline to replay the recordings that are saved on the SD card". So yes, definitely can view footage stored on the sd card remotely.

As for recording motion. From what I can see from posts about the app, if it is set to record at certain times or constantly, the recorded parts where motion was detected will show as red on the playback timeline. Maybe it can record just when motion is detected but I can't be certain. Someone else might be along to answer who also bought the camera the last time it was posted here.

Edit: I found a few comments about the software "Yes the camera can detect and record motion depending on how you set up the cameras sensor." and "You can configure it to record 24/7 or only using motion sensor recordings"

Exactly, and same goes for many smart plugs/bulbs etc. I had to change router settings to force it to 2.4 gig in order to use Smart Life app recently. Interestingly , my older YI cameras, which also require 2.4, didn't require any router setting change and seemed to auto lockon to correct band. Weird.

2.4ghz gives you better range but slower speeds.
5ghz gives you less range but faster speeds.
Any ONVIF support?

This one, as I've just seen a load of bad comments about the Yi here. Realistically both cams will be of a very similar spec but I can only vouch for this one being a good choice as I haven't tried the Yi
Having compared this to the Yi and Xiaomi cameras that come at a similar price point when on offer, I'd opt for Xiaomi. Yi has best camera quality but Xiaomi has better motion sensing and the offset in camera quality isn't significant enough. This one was third best in all areas for me personally.

It doesn't matter too much overall imo as at the price range of these cameras, they will mainly have a basic use like for watching the dog, a baby or use as a cheap CCTV alternative. Potentially all of these camera brands could be written on paper, put in a hat and one picked out to buy and it would do the intended job. Although the one with the lowest amount of negative reviews could be the best choice in terms of reliability.

Certainly if someone was spending £100+ on a camera for their business or if they live in an area with lots of crime, picking the one with the best camera quality would be more important.
We keep our doggy in the downstair bathroom for very short periods and that room doesnt have an electric outlet but it does have a shaving adaptor. With this camera being USB powered would a shaving outlet be powerful enough to power this camera?

According to the instruction manual it's 5v input with max consumption being 5w. So the shaver socket should be enough to power the camera via a usb to 2 pin adaptor. Weather it would be safe or not, im no expert
