Can someone tell me why there is toothpick tool?

So that when you go camping, you can pick meat from out of your teeth. i.e. rabbits, pheasant, and any other game birds that you brought along for the ride

Hitting the recessed reset button on watches and other gizmos

Every kid wanted these when i was little lol

Great knife but not strictly speaking the greatest price - I got one last September from Amazon and it was £11.60. Not much difference and this is the cheapest since then.

The little screwdriver end on the can opener is usually OK for Philips/Pozidriv screws. And the toothpick does come in handy occasionally: I've used mine for getting glue into awkward little corners.

Are these legal to carry about?

looks very similar to mine. It's not a stainless steel toothpick, it's plastic

If you look at the grey thingy next to the keyring attachment - that slides out and that's either your tweezers or toothpick as there's one on both sides.

Have a couple of the cheap chinese ones that I bought for a pound each over 15 years ago. Still going surprisingly well.

Not legal to carry no matter what people say about "tools of the trade" etc, although the mini sd has got a legal length blade and is, in some respects, more useful. There are some situations where you will be asked to surrender any knife no matter what size. Don't forget all Victorinoc knifes carry a lifetime guarantee, so, unless you lose it, you have it for life. Voted hot no matter what

This is legal to carry. Blade is under prohibited length and doesn't lock, so anyone can carry it. Great price for a great knife. Heat added!!

This knife is actually legal to carry in the uk, the blades are non locking and the biggest blade is below the legal maximum size.

You'll do more damage to yourself than someone else if you try to use it to defend yourself.

I wouldn't take it anywhere that has bouncers though as you'll lose it.

Good tool, prefer the SAK climber model myself for the scissors.

Have some heat.

Mine was taken away a few months ago when I left it in my pocket before boarding at the airport! Also at one of the embassies, the security guy freaked out when he saw it - silly guy was looking at me suspiciously!

Blade less than 3" so should be fine - because the blades fold, the most likely person to get hurt would be yourself.

Regular price, and has been for 6 months (even cheaper before)

cold for me as they can't be board.

I think this is the most useful answer so far, besides picking your teeth.

I have been known to use mine as an emergency mast for my yacht when the old one snapped - this was useful to me at the time.

Whilst bored on a plane, I watched a video about how these are made.

Mechanisms are unique, QC is pretty phenomenal and at this money seems to be a steal....would still wait for one with more kit though!

So much want (_;)

... There are some situations where you will be asked to surrender any … ... There are some situations where you will be asked to surrender any knife no matter what size.

One example is going to a Scout camp .... if you're following scout rules to the letter then scouts are now only allowed to have knives at camp during activities for which they are needed and have to be handed in to be stored (securely, I assume) at all other times. So next time your horse needs a stone removing from its hoof then looking for a scout to sort it out probably wont help! Had that with a "SwissCard" 10-ish years ago at Birmingham Airport .... had one in my credit card holder and when that went through the xray machine the man called an assistant over saying "we've got another of those cards". However, security were very helpful and told me if I went to the branch of WHSmiths round the corner, bought an envelope and a stamp and addressed the envelope to myself they'd put the SwissCard in the post - and it was waiting for me at home when I got back.

I have one of those in white. Having had several Victorinox knives over the years I've found the Swiss Champ to be the perfect balance of functionality and pocketability.

Been this price for a while.
What the Spartan lacks in tool selection it makes up for in lightness, very unobtrusive when carried in the pocket and as to be expected with Victorinox knifes the over all fit, finish and quality is excellent.

To the poster who mentioned the lack of phillips / posi - you can use the tip of the can opener for those screws - if you want a dedicated tool for phillips / posi avoid the Victorinox Tinker as the phillips / posi head is a back spring tool making it somewhat awkward to use - instead go for the Victorinox Explorer as the phillips / posi is a dedicated main inline tool.

Im not aware of any 93mm and under Victorinox knifes that have a locking blade so all of them are perfectly legal to carry - the 111mm Victorinox tend to have locking blades so you can only carry them with good reason.

Ive owned a Victorinox 'Cyber tool' for longer then a decade and its still going strong even till this day.

Its a nice peice of kit

You moron. Thats why the internet is dangerous. People like you spreading tripe and confusing people.

Its not lockable and under max lenth so its perfectly fine to carry.
