What are some good watch forums? Interested in getting a new watch but nothing has caught my eye yet.

Check out Amazon warehouse deals, I got some crazy good deals on automatic Swiss watches.

Quartz.

There's nothing wrong with a quartz movement if it's well made

You need to frequent a few better watch forums if you think victorinox is a reputable Swiss 'watch' brand!

I'm not knocking the brand, I bought a ladies one earlier in the year for £125 which is think is about right.

The one you posted is nothing special at the price. And the same money will buy you a reputable 'japanese' brand.

As to you mentioning Alpina, they are a different league to victorinox, yet, have also been recently come under the Citizen umbrella.

I find it hard to get excited about watches this expensive when you can get cheaper smartwatches today that do an awful lot more. And who really cares about having an accurate movement when a smartwatch will continually sync to the correct time over t'internet?

Maybe I just don't appreciate these things like I once used to, but the best quality Swiss movement I've experienced lately came shortly after I took advantage of that Toblerone deal on here
