This might be cheap but would strongly recommend against purchasing this. There is often too much downforce from the needle which will reduce the lifetime of your records.
If you want a decent entry level player that won't ruin your records or break the bank then I'd recommend a Lenco L85

Why would anyone need one to be portable that's not a DJ? If you absolutely needed one that's portable just buy a flightcase.

Here we go! All the audiophile experts are on If you just want to play a few records and aren't that bothered about sound quality these are fine! Most second hand records we buy were almost certainly played on worse than this in the past.

I disagree entirely that used records will have been poorly looked after either or that folks universally would have junk turntables. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a reasonable turntable, this is not one.
