Signs you need a dehumidifier;
  • Water stains on the walls or ceiling
  • Mould spores (small black spots) in rooms with poor ventilation
  • Frequent condensation on the windows in certain areas of your home
  • Musty smells

I bought one a few weeks ago left the vent open on the top and it's absolutely fantastic. Even on the first night of using it there was no condensation on my windows the next morning. And we had a very severe problem I cannot recommend this highly enough

P.s we end up emptying it daily with it getting full from how much water is pulling out of the atmosphere

I bought one of these for a garage, it is brilliant.
a few folk citng condensation problems this is the sort of thing to use during the day in your affected rooms alongside a bit of basic heating to help draw more water whilst you are out.
Just ordered one thanks
Hmmm. Need one but not sure if waiting for black Friday would be best

Thats always a possibility yes, but hard to say if the price would be beaten then especially with the 20% voucher applied.

That's what I was doing, then this came along and doubt it will go much cheaper if at all.
Some people who ordered s a few weeks ago were not happy, & returned them: Vida 20L Portable Dehumidifier - £89.98 @ Ebuyer

I suspect many didn't leave the vent near the top open & so got bad results &/or shutdowns/overheating?

Just as an FYI, I initially I thought the machine was broken as the power would keep flashing after a set time. I've observed it and searched on amazon for the same machines and others have commented on this too. To me it looks like its reading the humidity of the room twice an hour for 10 minute intervals. I have had this running day and night and it's fantastic. I will be purchasing another when the price drops (holding off for black Friday)
what sort of price do these cost to run, I have a cheap dehumidifier which i think has just gone wrong as it doesnt seem to be sucking any water out of the atmosphere.
Purchased this on the last deal as we were getting a lot of condensation on the upstairs windows which was causing black mould. Placed it on the landing and was amazed how much water it collected in 24 hours. Usually have it on for a couple of hours in the morning to bring the moisture levels down then it's not needed for the rest of the day as the level is between 45-55%. Before we purchased this the levels were between 70-90%
the thumbnail looks like when I pour a pint of Guinness.

About 5p an hour

About 5p an hour

Yes, it can be £1 per day. However if the room is heated or just very dry it could be 10p per day or less.
Also, a 50% setting might use 100%+++++++ more electricity than a 60% setting.

Just ordered one, thanks OP. Also got 103 nectar points and 1% cash back (every little helps). Did see the other reviews about them having issues but further comments here seem positive and I'll make sure to keep the top vent open when operating. Went for click and collect to. Heat added.
Is this the same as the Burfam one sold on Amazon @ £148?
It looks identical?
Thanks for posting been waiting to get it on an offer again. Have now purchased, being delivered Thursday!
Mine arrived today, been on an hour and already pulled quite a lot of water out of the air. Working well so far
Mines just been delivered. Ordered on Saturday. Impressed with the speed of delivery. Can't wait to see the difference in my house over a week or so 🏻 thanks again OP. Glad I pulled the trigger on this one like.

Yes it does show the humidity and can select how low you want it to go.

The tank holds 5.5L of water. But it can do up to 20L of water per day. Just means you need to empty it as it fills up. It will stop working when full to avoid overflowing but think the tank would last a full day anyway. Or you can connect a hose for continuous drain.
Awesome!
Does having the air cleaner function on affect the efficiency of the dehumidifier operation at all. I.e. it's ability to draw moisture out of the air please?
Been waiting for Black Friday to purchase one, but this looks a very good price. What’s this like in regards to it’s running noise? Will most likely be used on the upstairs landing over night.

Had mine on last night and didn't really notice much noise. It does have a sleep function so it does quiet down on less power.

Due to power light flashing ours is going back when it starts to flash fan goes on full speed everything else dont work untill unplugged from wall to allow a reset soon as i said what happerning he new the issue and agreed rma have to see what black friday has to offer
My power light starts to flash every now and again too but then goes back to being steady on. All functions appear to work when its flashing except for the fan which will not allow to go into sleep (slow) mode. It's collecting plenty of water though and seems to working fine so I think I'll wait a while longer before I make any rash decisions.
Ordered mine yesterday at 3pm and it got delivered today at 12pm! At work so will check it out when home

Looks like it - probably a Chinese white label product which is rebadged and sold under different brand names by various retailers. It's got good reviews on Amazon at that price, so I'd say it's this is a bargain.

Mine arrived yesterday, Tuesday (ordered Monday). I'd say it's definately the same unit, the control panel, size etc all identical. Certainly a bargain.

Hi. Me too. I was thinking if mine is not broken but looks like those "squeaking" noises from time to time are normal? Don't know how to describe them.
