hot hot hot
I do find asda have different prices at different stores... hopefully at mine!!
2000watts of heat added
I can confirm this is also 5 pounds at Asda Hatfield.
I had this hairdryer and loved it. I have really long hair and it dried it very quickly as it's very hot. Well.....I loved it. My boyfriend didn't. It used to overheat and cut out a lot, I would sit it on the carpet (forgetting it's hot) and yes it burnt holes in the carpet and we had to buy a new carpet (twice). Although I think mines was faulty so I got rid!
I got myself one today from asda in WATFORD they had LOADS!!!

EXCELLENT!

As you had one, can you tell me if it had a long cable? Bought a new hairdryer recently and the cable's really short and stiff so thinking of getting a new one. Thanks very much.
I bought one of these yesterday at Asda in Dunbar to replace my big and heavy one I have at the mo, and its fab!! Its lightweight and dried my hair in half the time it normally takes, a big thumbs up from me for a fiver!!
mates a hairdresser & she swears by this ( ie trying get me blow dry & straightners - im a bloke ! maybe for the special night out but everyday - NO thanks ! ), no doubt when I call she will be off to stock up

sure she paid £30 a couple years ago

The Curry's website states the length as 2.8m. Hope this helps. This sounds like a great deal and I'll be in my local Asda tomorrow.
Just been to my local ASDA - still being sold for £13. Staff not aware of the special for a fiver.
From comments so far, it doesn't look like it is store specific?

Yes. Most of them come with long cables these days. About same length as my GHD straighteners. It's a good hairdryer and for that price a bargain. I paid about £15 for it and thought that was good.
Got one of these from Asda at Christmas :santa: (£9.99) for the missus, she likes it . Comes with 2 yr guarantee.
My sister picked one of these up today. She works at Asda and confirmed that this is a nationwide reduction to clear remaining stock.
Still showing for £13.
Went back to ASDA today, still showing £13.... Staff still not aware of it going for £5 elsewhere.....so......

My friend works for ASDA and said that they've two Sassoon dryers instore.
One is £13 but the other is £5 on offer in all stores.

I bought the same one in Boots last week for £20!!! Totally bringing it back for a refund and buying the one in ASDA!
Went last night. They had a pallet load! Only £5!
Still loads in asda- I got one yesterday thanks op
Bought one of these last night at ASDA in Castlepoint, Bournemouth. Still £5!
Nice and light so won't hurt my arm!
Only thing it doesn't have which I wanted was heat/speed seperate switches. Never mind, not guna find such a good hairdryer for such a good price anywhere else!
is this still available
My Wife bought one of these for £7 before Christmas – It also over-heats, the element continues to glow red hot after it is switched off.
Fortunately she spotted it before it burnt a hole in the carpet.
Why do you think they are selling them for £5.00?
We took it back to the Barnsley branch but the manager would not take it back without a receipt. We had a credit card bill but she said we had to have a receipt.
She did not seem to be in the slightest concerned that they might be dangerous.

I don't think we will be buying cheap electrical equipment from ASDA in future.
