OBS Studio is good for that. I use it to record Teams calls, to review later.

    Edit:
Sorry! I read that as a question (edited)

Thanks OP, got this and tried a YouTube download on my Mac and it worked flawlessly. Just wonder if it’s worth upgrading for the 30 dollars version. Anyone any experience of it and recommend doing so? Cheers

From my experience, I would say no the free (now gift) version works perfectly well. You just have to be careful not to update the software or it becomes invalid and you have to wait a few months to get the next free version. I did note that someone said that now there is something that is no longer available on free but if you are downloading, editing, encoding only then free is more than enough. And hey Handbrake is also free so why not have both!!!

Can this free version do all of the mentioned edit, convert, process, video downloading and recording?

    I have converted and downloaded

If you’re not using shutter encoder for all your converting needs you’re not doing it right

I prefer VidCoder (as mentioned above).

If you want to download from iPlayer, YouTube, Facebook and loads of other sites just use Jdownloader... so simple to use.

FYI this is a basic version they ask you for payment to unlock the full version

The "New compression tool" is disabled in the giveaway version, not exactly sure what it does. It's sad they started to disable normal features in the giveaway versions, they never used to (edited)

Used this for a while mainly to rip subtitles and download

Is the download downloaded at full size?, compressed size?, or it's able to do either of those 2 options for you, or something?

    Thanx.

4k video downloader can download YouTube clips also. It's not freeware software but allows you to download a few YouTube videos a day for free. (edited)

Doesnt work on mine (AMD Ryzen 5 Win 11). Just starts with a black box.

If you just want to convert videos and rip BR/DVS's, use VidCoder instead.
It uses Handbrakes encoding engine but has more options, have been using it a few years now and never had an issue.

Does this convert framerates, like 60fps to 24fps?

It doesn't seem to work on MixCloud anymore?
I've been using v3.9 for a few years and it stopped working a couple of weeks ago.
Just tried this version too now and it also fails with "Analysis Failed".
Any ideas? Any safe, free alternatives for MixCloud downloads to MP3? (edited)
