Looks a good price, but the LG one for an extra £6 seems to get better reviews.

Both VGA only. OK if you don't want/need DVI.

Thanks Emmamed I've updated your thread to include a direct link and an image, we always try to include these when posting deals.

I would not say that. At a resolution of 1680x1050, it is really difficult to get a pixel perfect picture via the analog VGA connector. But the price is tempting indeed...

as people above have said, there is an LG at desco direct for only 6£ more.

i bought the LG for someone and at maximum resolution the monitor is ok. on any other resolution the picture looks awfull, and not because of aspect ratio. is it the VGA?

no, its because LCD screens almost always look awful at non-native resolutions. if it looks good at native, the connection is fine.

Anything other than the max (native) res looks pretty poor on all LCDs, it's inherent to the tech.

I got a 22" Viewsonic for about this price 13 months ago from Evesham just before it went under. Mine's height adjustable which is a useful feature. Brilliant monitor.

Lack of DVI is surely a major drawback to this, I wouldn't want to pay anything like this much without having that.

Think we got on the same boat there! Have got the exact same model 22 Viewsonic and have 0 complaints so far. Still working as great as when I first got it, and I have been using it everyday.

Recommend!

It was a great deal wasn't it? If I remember rightly the deal popped up on new years eve one before last just as I was going out and thankfully I took the punt before I left as they were all gone by the time I got back. Happy memories...lol.

DVI? The digital connector instead of having an analogue connector (VGA)

Link with a pretty picture en.wikipedia.org/wik…ace ;-)

I got one as well and have been very impressed with display. I was amazed when it actually turned up. A real bargain at about £120 and it had DVI!! Not seen the Viewsonic VG2230wm cheaper since despite falling prices of monitors.

What tax is that? Not another one of Tony Blurrrrr's STEALTH TAXES is it?

By the way people,Stupid question probably ....But....I suppose there's no way you could get a digital signal through a VGA connection with a decent PQ is there....covers head as library of electronics manuals are flung in his direction.
