This is the sort of thing I am looking for. Never used ViewSonic before, so uncertain about the brand.

Lol you could have just told me.
So It's 300.
Still don't understand how it can be classed as hdr10 when it needs to be max brightness 1000 nits.
Anyone please explain.
Hi I used to work for ViewSonic direclty with the tech team, screen testers and support folk. If I remember correctly, the V series are the value models. ViewSonic monitors are extremly good rebadged and tweaked models panels. They normally cost more than similar screens apart from over priced Dells etc. This is a great deal. Expect above average quality all around but not top end. If you are after top end you need to look for the P series models, the Professional series. The best thing about ViewSonic montiors is the amazing customer services and guarantee. I've seen normal consumers get same day swap outs and replacments by being nice to the custoermer service people. Seriosuly good, perhaps the best you can expect. Add on amazon's retuen polices etc and you cannot really go wrong.

Don't think we need an expert to say which is better from the hp in the link and this viewsonic.

The viewsonic by a mile.

I'm exactly the same way a £250 Asda budget TV can say it has HDR, because it can accept and decode HDR10, it's just going to look utterly awful and is just marketing BS.
VA panel before anyone asks.
Seems to be back up to £359.14 now, dissapointed I missed this!

Yeh I know man. It's such a con. We shouldn't need a degree in optics or panel analysis to get the product that we are after.
I'm basically checking the specs on all these monitors so I can get a 10 bit HDR panel but which has peak brightness of around 700 to 1000.
Tired of having to keep looking and researching

If you find any on the market at the moment that can actually achieve that, let us all know
