Single speed? what is this 1912?

When I was growing up all we rode were single speed. Still managed to get from A to B.
Gears were for the weak kneed with more money than sense.

Its a "Fixie" Bike single gear great for the bike couriers around city i posted this a few months back coz it looks good .. Heat added tho as its a good price

Single speed bikes are extremely popular and are great for riding in urban environments.

nonsense, might be 13kg, If you need lighter you probably won't be getting a single speed bike bas you live on a steep hill or in a high flat

I have a Viking single speed steel bike. Although I avoid the wet ( run on wet days ) it is rusting in some places. I am used to replacing tubes when punctures ( as they are cheap ) but this isn't as easy with no quick release wheels and realignment of the back wheel for chain tension. I did have a spell of the chain jumping off and jamming the wheel. I always carry a spanner, pliers and a bike lock now ! I've never tried the fixed gear ( flip flop ) , Single gear does build muscle. Downside is trying to nip into traffic on a high gear ( my single is equivalent to about 19 out of 24 on my old Sora triple )

The saddle is worth £40 on its own
