Aww no Homebase near us anymore
I wonder how these compare with the karcher wv ?
I think that the Karcher original is much better value, particularly since you can get one through their outlet store for around £26 delivered and with a 12 months warranty. They, unlike other manufacturers offer a full range of spare parts.
It would be wise to check if Vileda supply spares, particularly the rubber blades which wear out with use.
I bought a "Salter" branded one and later found out they only offer spare batteries nothing else, ...it went back! !
So many good deals at Homebase. Thank you for posting.

They are all disposable like razors nowadays
The Karcher died on me within a year and was send back to Amazon.
The Salter died on me within a year and was returned to Morrison's (stopped charging, as the previous one)
This one is on its 4-th month or so.. hope it will last about a year, I don't mind really as it's very good especially for the price I paid for it (£9 from Currys)
I have one of these, and it's not bad. Though due to the 'notched' edge on the rubber strip, it does tend to leave stripes on the window. I don't know whether Karcher models have a similar notched edge?
I have one of these, it is worse than sh@t.

Save your money folks.

Mine does, always assumed it was to stop the inside getting musty/mouldy by allowing air in.
I bought one at Currys in August & it stopped working after using it only twice!

I much prefer this Spiderman version compared to the usual banana one.

I have a vileda one, it's great but if you use it upside down, it blows water out of the side vents. Would buy at a tenner.

Yeah, that feature really sucks
What's so good about these? Paper towels or newspapers fine to dry with!

Vileda has 2 years warranty so it's £5 a year. I'm not sure karcher will work more than 5 years without change battery or blade...

Quote ElectricalStorm :-
"I'm not sure karcher will work more than 5 years without change battery or blade..."

As we all know, batteries and blades are considered "consumable spares and would be exempt from any guarantee terms and conditions except in exceptional circumstances, ie. Samsung Note 7.

My point is that Karcher offer a comprehensive array of spares for their machines, some other manufacturers offer just batteries!
Not much use when the blade no longer works!
