Any examples? everyone I try comes in nearly double that
I've just booked 2 nights in october for half term for £160 but that's with a child in a family room. I expected to pay more as its half term though.

Wish they’d list hotels which have family rooms. Swansea is about the only one I can find and sofa beds are pretty lousy
We stayed in cardiff in a family room and it was good. Normal beds

They usually make you pay extra for each child
Thank you. Not a bad deal then really. Thought we'd book to see the Blackpool Illuminations. Wonder if they do the kids eat free deal
The food is quite expensive, so £40 doesn't go far.

Mains are around £14 a head so should be able to get two mains and a sharing starter. During the summer kids ate free so not sure if they're doing that again x

i stayed at the village in blackpool last week. the family rooms are 2 double beds. i have a 12yr old girl and 15 yr old boy so not great! fine if kids younger. just to mention we couldnt book swims as kids under 16 have super limited sessions and over the 3 days we stayed were fully booked. no idea how as you can't book time before you get there. management is a shambles at this one but restaurant staff were top class despite the covid situation

You could go to swim but not available to use all the facilities like sauna showers jacuzzi... Year by year they are getting expensive .the one in Portsmouth they don't have a family room , the one in blackpool is one the best of village hotel great location and great atmosphere

Quite possibly aged 15 your son is wishing he didn't have to sleep in with you even if you found a room with a double and two singles. And maybe your partner is wishing there were no children in the room...
2 Bottles of Prosecco and I might be tempted....

As someone who has used Village hotels many times in the past both for business and leisure, I can only say how shocked I was at the food prices on my first visit after lock down. Its quite obvious why when they are then giving food credit away with bookings.

or maybe their mother passed away 5 years ago so that part does not matter, plus i think you will find many hotels will not allow persons under the age of 18 in a room without an adult. have to say the premier inn and the new travel lodge family rooms i have stayed in recently have been excellent
thanks for updates
