I meant your comment reads like you wrote it about your own experience to anyone reading it who hasn't followed the thread of comments. If you put quotation marks around it or something it would make it clear
Yes this is my site and don't you forget it!!
Unlikely anyone would choose to use the Coventry one but just as an FYI. The pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are completely closed until some time in the middle of October (and thats if they finish things on time)

No mention of the included drink. It doesn't matter anyway now as I was looking at Bournemouth but not anymore, the Trip Advisor reviews are shocking!

Not sure which reviews you are focusing on but overall the hotel gets 4/5 on trip advisor. You are looking at booking a room for £35 a night. I'd say that's a great price for what you are getting.

Specifically where are you referring to?

It's all over the landing page, or is it for a specific hotel/room/date?

We booked a family room and was told we would have a sofa bed. Upon arrival, we were given a room that had two mattresses on the floor for our children to sleep on! The staff were extremely unhelpful, I explained that my son has severe dust allergies and sleeping so close to the carpet would trigger nose bleeds at night, I also brought down his medication to show the gentleman at reception and he simply said there was nothing he could do! The next day, I decided to go back to reception and spoke to annoy her gentleman who kindly changed our room with no issues at all! Both rooms had stains on the carpet and stains on the bed frame! The shower screen was broken which meant anytime you used the shower you would flood the bathroom, I spoke to the same guy who refused to move us (note the broken shower was in the first room with mattresses on the floor) and his solutions was to give me more towel to put on the floor! I have stayed in Village hotels before, Portsmouth’s hotel is AMAZING! Super techy and super clean! If you don’t mind your children sleeping on the floor next to the front door and bathroom then go ahead and book if not I would stay away! I’ve stayed in the Hilton in Bournemouth with is breath taking!

I get the impression that Bournemouth is a bit tired compared to some others.

Which hotel was this? I've stayed in ten of their hotels and generally not had a problem. The breakfasts have gone way downhill though.

From the looks of the Portsmouth one from the outside, it's pretty new, a bit like Edinburgh, Watford, Warrington etc. It's an American company, so at times it's hard to see the customer service as genuine, thus when big issues occur that affect the bottom line, I'd not be surprised if the customer service evaporates.

Not many dates at £35 , hotel availability not as good as iit used to be,

No Glasgow?

No, but if you go via the hotel (rather than the deal) and enter the Promo Code TACA the sale comes up as a rate - but it still looks expensive - although it does have the gym/pool/drink included...
Thanks. If anyone spots any good rates for Glasgow (I couldn't) that'd be brilliant!

To add balance to this I’ve stayed in a few and never had issues
Very good deal if the drink is a pint each as they are around £4.50 at Village Hotels. If it means that silly fizzy stuff i'd rather have £2 each off the price.

Please let us know which branch as this isn't the case in any of my 12 experiences
I though this TripAdvisor review was shocking at Bournemouth considering this family paid £249 for their room, and menus stuck on windows to block out the sun..

“We paid 249£ for a family room that comprised of a small double bed and 2 single matresses on the floor for the children that needed stepping over to enter and exit the room. The window blind would not close and so sunlight streamed and the hotels solution was to sellotape menus to the window. It was a hideous experience. We complained to the duty manager who shrugged his shoulders. We have since written to the hotel and HQ. Neither have provided the courtesy of a reply. To be avoided."

Many places with gyms aren’t accessible to under 18’s. I’m 17 and would like to stay with my partner (also 17) and was wondering if anyone knows if they do this? Some places adult is 16, others it’s 18
I’ve booked similar deals with village hotels many times. Great price for what you get. Lovely pool and decent rooms.
Gym/pool not usually included in £35 offer so this is great!
