I meant your comment reads like you wrote it about your own experience to anyone reading it who hasn't followed the thread of comments. If you put quotation marks around it or something it would make it clear
Yes this is my site and don't you forget it!!
Unlikely anyone would choose to use the Coventry one but just as an FYI. The pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are completely closed until some time in the middle of October (and thats if they finish things on time)

Not sure which reviews you are focusing on but overall the hotel gets 4/5 on trip advisor. You are looking at booking a room for £35 a night. I'd say that's a great price for what you are getting.

Went to their Dudley one, thought it was great!

Not many dates at £35 , hotel availability not as good as iit used to be,

With One pound to one Euro approaching fast expect that to get worse.
how do you add kids/babies? The only option I see is to increase the number of guests per room to 3, but then the calendar shows no dates available even at regular rates (checked a few different locations and it's the same)
I have just returned from the Aberdeen Village Hotel. I had a very good experience with them and intend to use this offer.
You owe me £78. Just booked 2 nights in Portsmouth.Gone through TOPCASH .8% off ,just in case I get some more off.Does say though no discount codes [though I am not using one,so you never know?]

I've never figured it out. I think you're meant to put 3 / 4 people but if you find something definitive please post.

Last summer we stayed in Watford (kids go free offer) and Wirral (kids were meant to be £15 but didn't get charged at the hotel)

We stayed here last week, was great for what we paid, good base for Chester and the Zoo. No complaints with regards to the hotel, location is exactly as the map shows it, what more can I say.

Why do you need Sky Sports in the room? You should be too busy rogering your missus or mistress or both if stopping in a hotel for 2 nights!

I drive !
You always need to book a club room and not the standard room .
Was only looking for a cheap Saturday and sunday night weekend away . Yep mixed reviews on TripAdvisor but if you read them people with the club rooms give good reviews .
Wont be spending much time at the hotel and will be enjoying chester .
It only cost £148 . Premier inn was £195 .

Brother stayed here few weeks ago and paid £135 for the Saturday night . Said the club room was nice , pool was small but ok . And 15 minute drive into chester .
Some people expect 5 star luxury for £35-£75 a night
Why would somebody stay in one of their hotels when so many people advise you against this one n bad reviews??? Playing daredevil? Time is too precious to waste it with such clowns 🤡

Upon arrival, we were given a room that had two mattresses on the floor for our children to sleep on! The staff were extremely unhelpful, I explained that my son has severe dust allergies and sleeping so close to the carpet would trigger nose bleeds at night, I also brought down his medication to show the gentleman at reception and he simply said there was nothing he could do! The next day, I decided to go back to reception and spoke to annoy her gentleman who kindly changed our room with no issues at all! Both rooms had stains on the carpet and stains on the bed frame! The shower screen was broken which meant anytime you used the shower you would flood the bathroom, I spoke to the same guy who refused to move us (note the broken shower was in the first room with mattresses on the floor) and his solutions was to give me more towel to put on the floor! I have stayed in Village hotels before, Portsmouth’s hotel is AMAZING! Super techy and super clean! If you don’t mind your children sleeping on the floor next to the front door and bathroom then go ahead and book if not I would stay away! I’ve stayed in the Hilton in Bournemouth with is breath taking! Just a few days ago!

Yes that's 1 bad review out of 1000s. So you right off a hotel because one person had a bad experience, what about all the 5* excellent experiences some only days ago? Firstly these deals are mainly based on 2 people not a family of 4 so the review is irrelevant for the couples trip, secondly there is a remark comparing this to a Hilton, its a completely inappropriate hotel to compare. Personally I've stayed at several village hotels and had great experiences, they all vary and have ups and downs but for approx £15 per person per night the deal can't be faulted. Also, I'd wait for an upgrade email and always go for the club room at approx £10 per night, the offer rarely gets declined and is worth the wait.

Spa access isn't part of the deal, but I think there's a Groupon for a Village Hotel spa you could perhaps combine, at 18 of their locations.

Mrs looked at the Groupon and it's not a bad price for 2 × 25 minute treatments for £39 , but then there is a £15 supplement for weekends and £5 robe hire ! So not great for weekends.
When we want a spa weekend we wait for the Mere golf resort and spa to have offers on . It's a top class spa and pool area .

If it is the Village Hotel on Deansleigh Road then that scores 8.2 on Booking.com which is very good (and actually have to have stayed to review it. You can check the bad reviews to see if they are a concern though). Only an idiot would pay any attention to Trip Advisor for things like hotels where anybody can rate anything however they want. Hence the 100 scarily similar rave reviews you get so often.

Not stayed myself but anything 8+ on Booking.com is always pretty good.

As I mentioned on another comment, never ever ever ever pay any attention to TripAdvisor. Look at reviews of people who have stayed (most hotel booking sites) or in case of products people who have purchased from Amazon for example. Those type of reviews are very reliable.

Con all Saturdays at 69 +

The deal clearly states that the offer is just for Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. £69 is pretty good for the Saturday nights

Do they still have an APP or is that long gone?
My mate has just been to the one in Coventry. Their whole facilities are down yet still tried to charge him and didn't let him no beforehand. Might be worth double checking before you book!
Don't pay extra for a club room. They always send you an email before stay offering club room for less and 25% off any meals. My vote goes to Blackpool village and the heated outdoor pool. No kids after 6pm.
Also be aware that if you think you know a club room think again. There will be no coffee machine. They are all being phased out.

Got told to always go for the club rooms . It was only £12 per night to go from standard to club . You don't get access to pools or gym with standard rooms .
Think they supply Starbucks instant coffee now and no coffee machine.

If you look at the verified purchase ones only then yeah. As long as you read them and ignore the ridiculous top and bottom rated ones.
Village hotels aren't usually in the best location for example cardiff is just off the M4 on the outskirts.

Stayed in Coventry a few weeks ago for 2 nights with my wife and 18 month old daughter. Was nice. Again on an industrial estate but used it as a hub to visit royal leamington spa and Warwick.

But be warned not all standard doubles can accommodate a cot. Cot option isn't in the booking/website so you need to email them afterwards.

Coventry don't us that we needed to upgrade room to accommodate a cot as there double rooms are smaller. We refused and they upgraded us anyway.

For Chester and Bournemouth a double room can accommodate a cot.

The village hotels website booking system is shocking wanted to book 2 nights (Saturday and Sunday) both on different promotions and it couldn't. So we had to make 2 separate bookings and tell the receptionist when we arrive to avoid checking out and changing rooms. System was clever enough to recognize this.

But for the money you can't good wrong! One promotion was 2 course meal for 2 and room for £60.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and you are right its techically in Wales but it is only up the road from Chester. If you re going to Cheshire oaks this hotel is ideal and is a short car journey.

The hotel itself has a cheap pub across the road for food and the rooms are pretty good and for £35 you cannot complain at all, I don't know what people really expect these days?! I would happily go up to £60 and say that its a nice place to stay.

What browser are you using? I find Firefox for some reason shows lacks of rooms that are visible when I use Chrome...
I've stayed in several Village hotels & each has been amazing!
I've used Village Hotel Solihull several times with no complaints. Did late off week before 2 night stay in July for 25% off breakfasts, £5 late check out, and offered £22 for upgrade for the 2 nights. Upgraded room was same as normal double but had coffee machine. Drinks voucher was for any 2 drinks, so being on own, I had a pint of Stella Cidre and diet coke while eating meal and watching womens football. I find the breakfast really good. Being vegan I ask for w vegan sausages as they seat me at table and they come just after I've finished fresh fruit/cereal. Highly recommended
We stay this Saturday to monday .
The club room was £12 a night more .
They emailed me yesterday to offer 2 sunday roasts with unlimited meat , starter and a glass of wine each for £30 . So as we are not leaving the hotel on the sunday we added that .
Mrs had a £35 Groupon credit and booked spa access and 2 x 25 minute treatments for the sunday cost £4 plus £15 weekend supplement and £5 for robe and slippers . So £24 .
Will update this post after our stay !
