Village Hotels Sunday Special - 1 Night Stay + Two Course Dinner each from £50 per night / £25pp

Refreshed 13th Apr (Posted 31st Jan)
*Updated 4th April, offer is still on and looks to be availability over the Easter period*

Always a nice offer, I know it says "From £50" which would make you think that there's maybe one or two at that price and that's it. That's not the case as there actually quite a few.

A one night stay and a two course dinner each for £50 isn't half bad. We pay close to that just heading into town for a meal... Might as well take a trip at the same time Link to sample menu

Next best price for this based on Aberdeen + 2 course meal is £81 if you don't use the promo.

Voted hot for price, without Googling each hotel, does anyone know if any of the listed hotels are not too far from their respective city/town centre?
Heat for the price but don’t spend too long in their bar otherwise the cost creeps up. £12.95 for a pint and a single spirit with mixer in Farnborough!
Only stayed in Bournemouth and Portsmouth, neither are in the city centres, about 15-20 minutes drive away.

*That was meant to be a reply to the question above.

I've done this deal a few times, it's excellent. The Korean style tacos in the restaurant as a starter are amazing!

The Portsmouth one is on the North edge of the city, park and ride is a 5 min drive away, city centre about 10-15 min, seafront 20min.

Yes and when we did the valentine's break we had a table booked for 8pm but when we went at 8 they said they didn't have any tables ready and did we want to get a drink in the bar , think it was like you say about £13 for 2 drinks. I'm pretty sure the claim about having no tables ready was probably just a tactic to get people to spend more money in the bar. Have to say though the meal was really nice, far exceeded my expectations, we had a fab night actually and I'd go there again
Silly question is any Sunday night booking even if it is more than £50 the Sunday special i.e. you get the dinner included?

@milko not all rates are £50, it's from £50 but if you go on the landing page and select the Village Hotel you want you should see the pricing. There's a lot that are the £50 rate though. thanks

Cheers got that but I mean I don’t mind if it’s £80 on the Sunday I want to go, does ‘Sunday special ‘ always include the dinner option?

'London Watford' is not near the 'London Watford' town centre. It's not quite a walking distance so you either need to take a taxi or bus to go to the 'LondonWatford' town centre. I've stayed in 'Manchester' Bury Village hotel many times. Can't remember it was near the town centre but it's a decent hotel.
Everytime I've eaten here food has tasted cheap and bland.

And I went back each time hoping it was a one off.. Not so.

Cardiff is literally on the outskirts of the city. £10 taxi on a good day and 20 Min travel-time at best between hotel and city centre.

They're all situated outside the cities or on the outskirts

The Liverpool one is around 10 miles from the city and kind of in the middle of nowhere

I'd say the Portsmouth one is more of a 5 min drive to the town centre just jump on the m275 not 15-20 mins ....

Its 50 quid for a hotel stay and a two course meal for two... what were you expecting for your money? The tasting menu from The Fat Duck?!

I don’t even know how they can make a penny of profit once all factors are taken into consideration at this price. Unbelievable deal.

On the face of it, it sounds like a very good deal, but would you really would you want to pay anything for a meal that you didn't enjoy?. I don't think so. I love the rooms, very nice they are too but avoid the restaurant at all costs!

I'm a fairly firm believer in the mantra that I'd rather pay £20 for something worth eating, rather than say £10 for something mediocre. But again I also feel like you just have to set expectations accordingly. If the whole package is as cheap as it is, and it's convenient to go for it, then I say just aim a little lower and take it as it comes

The fact remains why would you want to pay anything for something you don't enjoy, no matter what your expectations are, or how much you'll pay 😁...
Here's an idea.. If I was staying at their hotels on a Sunday night, the cheapest night to stay at any hotel, at Village most Sundays are around £35. Put the £15 you save towards a meal somewhere else that you will enjoy. Buyagift usually have pomo codes you could pick up a voucher for 2 people for 3 courses with wine at Prezzo or Zizi for just over £20. Just an idea. I rest my case 😁
