I purchased this a few months ago. I wouldn't recommend it. It heats up incredibly fast so much so that the oil hasn't even had a chance to get hot! I pour a little oil in, then coat the sides by swishing it round, within seconds the parts that haven't been coated will start smoking. I have a gas hob so have to adjust it to a medium flame in ordee for the wok not to burn - as a result, food takes longer to cook.

That's kinda the whole idea of wok cooking. Stir-frying is done quickly at a very high heat. You want the wok to be smoking and the oil not to be too hot straight away otherwise you'll burn the aromatics when you add them in.
