I wish i had a clue about how all these cashback/ more money off stuff works

Well worth £400

you can never have enough grapefruit spoons !

£40 for all this quality cutlery and and 10.5% TCB, scorching deal.

Weird it has hukd temperature on the Viners page!

Yet another completely bogus, made up DFS-style RRP of £300 just to confuse people into thinking they're getting a bargain. £40 is around the normal selling price, and the grade of steel is the cheap-end 18/0, rather than the better 18/8 and 18/10.

Possibly worth £40, certainly not much more than that - and best not to put it in the dishwasher, whatever it might say in the blurb:

Guarantees do not cover damage caused by deterioration due to dishwasher use, accidents, misuse or commercial use.

Simple - they know how many HUKD customers are easily conned by a fake RRP making ordinary prices look like bargains.

LOL - or coffee spoons.

is this the same? 44 piece is priced at £82.58 @ tesco, and it says it's 18/10. Or is there a difference between these? I usually just grab some cheap wilko ones for myself...

Has been on offer many time sbetween £80 and £100, inc KGB and BBC Good food.

Definately doesn't appear to have ben full price ( not continuously anway) and there is one on ebay for £69, but £40 is cheapest prie anf i su[[ose good enough at OP price.

That one has a 50 year guarantee - maybe due to the better quality that the one posted here with the 25 year cover.

Agreed - i wouldn't pay the apparent rrp but £40.00 seems a good deal

18/0 cutlery isn't worth the metal.

I have a TCB claim on a Viners purchase dating from June - no response from them so far. I'm interested in this deal but have no expectations of getting cashback.

Take it you won't be buying anything then??? lol

Interesting info in here about the metal/still grade, didn't know that.
I usually take a look at the forks to get an idea of the quality.

If the metal between the teeth of the fork is not as shiny as the rest, is a sign of poor quality.
That will also attract bacteria and corrosion.

That said, hard to find a quality fork these days.

Never buy from them, they gave me a completely different set off cutleries

Good prices. Cheers OP.

He's right - it is poor quality stuff now. Used to be a good brand, but that was when it was manufactured in Sheffield. Just cheap imported stuff now, trading on the old Viners name and making up fake RRPs like this one to lure people in thinking they're getting a bargain. You're not.

I'm not expecting top quality but in my opinion this is still a hot hukd deal. - I have purchased another viners set & i would agree the quality isn't what it used to be but it does the job & stays looking nice - besides a 25 yr guarantee isn't something to be sniffed at

You did well to avoid it. It really is no bargain, which is why they rely on fake RRPs and HUKD gullibles to shift the wretched stuff.

Ordered and totally regretting it now Absolutely rubbish quality - very disappointed. Not even worth the £40 I paid. The set already looks tarnished and no mention of it being stainless steel. Viners logo is imprinted in unusual place. What a waste of money and those that missed out think yourselves lucky!

I'm genuinely sorry to hear that - but not at all surprised. You could, of course, return it for a full refund under the Distance Selling Regulations (http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/distance-selling-regulations) or under the Viners return policy:
http://www.viners.co.uk/customer-services/returns-exchange

You'll be stuck with the return carriage, though, unless you can show they're faulty or not in accordance with the description (maybe not too difficult).

Viners are catching out so many people with their fake RRPs and poor quality. People think it's still a quality brand - until they actually get the stuff.

Good luck - get a refund from them.

Have already been on the phone to them and they're sending a courier on Friday to pick it up. Have learnt my lesson though and would much prefer to pay more for decent quality next time.
