My new toolbar informed me about 5% cashback at Quidco also.

Good deal for something that we don't expect to last very long.... have had these and the plastic bits fall off in no time. For something cheap, the cheap sets Ikea sell and a much better build, have no plastic, are very stylish and so so cheap!

Just ordered 2 lots and got 2 lots free

Expect it to last around 3 months. That's how long mine did before i chucked it all

But will it last that long?

I have no idea. I've had viners cutlery before and it's been alright. It's never been stuff with plastic on it though. I find that all cutlery sets with plastic on it are clearly less durable than solid stuff, but then again, you don't generally get 8 place-settings for £6.

Shame there's no free delivery on this item, but I still voted it hot.

I completely agree.
I made an investment into one of the more costly Viners canteens more than a decade ago and they still look as good as the day I bought them despite daily use, (the wooden canteen itself has had many uses over the years too and is still in great condition).

If you only purchase the cheaper plastic items, then you already know your getting a lower quality product prior to parting with your cash.

Bought these last time round... they are ok... I don't expect them to last the year tbh. Fine for occasional use as an extra set

Do not buy from these wasters, worst customer service ever, and chances are if you get your goods it will be 3 months later like mine, and it was still wrong !!

The words 'investment' and 'Viners' do not sit well together. And do not confuse the Viners of today with Viners as it used to be (a quality manufacturer).

The stuff they sell now is cheap tat with fake RRPs attached to it to con people into thinking they're getting a bargain when they sell it at the price it was always intended to be sold at. If you like the sort of cutlery you'd get given away with petrol this will be fine - otherwise, steer well clear.

Hot from me.

Thats the opposite of my exprience. Viners sent me a couple of sets of wrong items (their more expensive 50yr guarantee stuff) so I told them and they sent the correct sets and let me keep the other ones. They were very, very good in terms of CS.
However, their cutlery is cheap junk. Never mid the guarantee or 18/10 18/0 steel, its just tat. Viners must have sold the brand to the lowest bidder. Ended up buying alessi cutlery which is a bit better
