Yet me being a loyal customer just get a £3.50 price hike to £41.50 for 100mbs...looked around but there's nothing to beat it though so will grin and bear it

Mine is 200Mb, basic TV package, Unlimited call package and now £60.49 a month (going up by £3.50 soon)...I really need to cancel and switch over to BT on some deal. I don't need the call package anymore, and yes it'll be a quarter of the speed, but it's going to be half that price.

Think I can get a decent deal with the offers from work, will be around £35 a month I think.

I was on M200 for £38 and asked for them to change my package to avoid the £4.50 increase in August. They offered me M350 for £39 fixed for 12 months so I took it.

Same for me,.I will call them to cancel and they should offer a deal.
I just threatened to cancel - been with Virgin for five years. I was paying £36/month, as others recently received a letter informing of a £3.50/month increase.

After two phone calls, one lasting 16 minutes, the other lasting 22 minutes. The best offer was to increase the monthly payments to £41.50 but credit the account with £50. Which over the year would be £37.33.

I explained to them that I had called them to cancel, and that I was shocked they're trying to get me to agree to a higher monthly payment, anyway, they called my bluff and now I'm getting disconnected on the 15th of August.
I've placed an order with BT today (via a work perks scheme).

"Superfast Fibre" (~50Mbps) for £31.99 a month (including line rental).
Adding the hub delivery (£9.99), then taking off the £100 Mastercard they give you for signing up brings it down to £27 a month for 18 months. I didn't bother with the TV services (don't use them) or the call packages (unlimited deals on the mobile are cheaper).

Now on the phone to cancel Virgin. They won't get anywhere near that deal and despite the speed benefits, I can't justify double the price of the BT deal.

I was fully intending on cancelling, I've even ordered my BT package!...however, after calling Virgin this morning they've offered my existing package to be kept as is for £37 a month.

Still £10 more than BT, but the anytime inclusive call package and over 4 times the download speed.

I took out the TalkTalk offer I'd seen going around... £26.50/month. Virgin received request from TalkTalk and offered me 12 months fixed price, guaranteed no price hikes for £31/month.

I wanted to accept the offer but my pride stopped me. Hopefully TalkTalk's good
